JOB OVERVIEW

Remote | Philippines-Based | Australian Market | Base Salary + Uncapped Commission

ABLE Publishing Press is an Australian publishing company helping professionals, business owners, speakers, consultants, coaches and experts turn their knowledge, experience and ideas into professionally published books.

We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven Business Development Manager to grow our Australian author portfolio. Your primary responsibility is to independently generate new business — identifying prospective authors, creating opportunities, building relationships and converting qualified prospects into paying publishing clients.

What You Will Do
You will own the full business development cycle:

Independently research and generate your own qualified leads
Identify professionals and aspiring authors with genuine publishing potential
Prospect through LinkedIn, email, phone, networking, referrals and other channels
Initiate conversations and build relationships with Australian prospects
Conduct discovery and publishing sales conversations
Consistently follow up with prospects and opportunities
Manage your own sales pipeline and prospect records
Present ABLE Publishing packages and handle sales objections
Convert qualified prospects into paying publishing clients
Develop referral partners and other sources of new author business
Achieve agreed monthly sales and revenue targets
This is not a VA, social media or appointment-setting position. We are looking for a genuine business developer who can independently create and close new business opportunities.

Who We Are Looking For
You will ideally have:

Proven B2B business development or sales experience
Experience selling professional services or other high-value solutions
Excellent spoken and written English
Confidence communicating with Australian business owners and professionals
Strong prospecting, relationship-building, negotiation and closing skills
The ability to generate your own leads rather than depend on leads being supplied
Strong follow-up discipline and commercial initiative
Experience working with Australian clients or businesses is highly regarded
The ability to work independently during Australian business hours
Publishing experience is advantageous but not essential. Strong sales capability and the ability to create new business are more important.

What We Offer
Competitive monthly base salary
Commission on every eligible publishing package sold
Uncapped commission earning potential
Remote work from the Philippines
Opportunity to work directly with an established Australian publishing company
Existing publishing packages, author success stories and established brand assets
Opportunity to grow with the business as the Australian author portfolio expands
How to Apply
Please submit your CV together with a short introduction answering these three questions:

What products or services have you personally sold?
How have you generated your own leads and new clients in previous roles?
What experience do you have selling to Australian or other international clients?
Shortlisted candidates will participate in a practical business-development exercise as part of the selection process.
