Position Overview
We are seeking an energetic Business Development leader to help drive our next phase of growth. This role is ideal for a strategic hunter who thrives on building long-term partnerships, uncovering new revenue streams, and representing a trusted brand in the telecom engineering sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with telecom carriers, ISPs, municipalities, and contractors throughout the Western States. Be a lead generator expert.
• Develop customized proposals and pricing with support from our engineering and drafting teams.
• Strengthen and expand relationships with existing clients (e.g., Crown Castle, AT&T, Verizon, Cox) to increase project volume and cross-sell services.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate forecasting using CRM tools.
• Stay current on industry trends, permitting/zoning changes, and competitor offerings.
• Attend local and regional industry events to network and promote Coastal’s capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project handoffs and high client satisfaction.
Qualifications
• 3+ years in business development, sales, or account management — preferably within telecommunications, civil engineering, or technical services.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
• Solid understanding of telecom infrastructure projects (e.g., fiber, small cells, make-ready engineering, permitting).
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally (up to 50%).
Preferred Qualifications
• Established relationships with major carriers or OSP contractors.
• Familiarity with local municipalities’ permitting and zoning processes.
• Knowledge of Coastal’s core services and client industries.
