JOB OVERVIEW

## About Alya

Alya Health is a modern wellness company rooted in ancient Mediterranean wisdom. We make the world's most potent olive oil shots using cold-pressed, single-origin, organic Chetoui olives from our family's estate in northern Tunisia. Exceptionally rich in antioxidants, Alya turns a centuries-old ritual into a simple daily practice supporting gut health, energy, skin, and longevity.

We're early, small, and building a brand from the ground up.

## The Role

Three things we need you to be genuinely good at: **making short-form video, writing in a voice, and keeping a small company organized.** Most people are strong at one or two. The combination is the job.

This role sits between brand and operations. You'll write and edit the things customers see, and you'll run the systems that keep everything behind them working.

One week you might cut a TikTok, write a Klaviyo flow, and coordinate a VIP gifting drop. The next you might rebuild our inventory tracker, chase a vendor, and find the right embroidery shop in New York.

It's a wide role, deliberately. We want someone who'd rather own a lot than go deep on one thing.

## What You'll Own

### Content & Video (30% of your time)

This is the largest part of the role. You are our primary content producer.

- **Shoot.** Capture product, lifestyle, and founder footage on an iPhone. You know how to light a bottle on a kitchen counter and make it look intentional.
- **Edit.** Cut 15–45 second vertical video in CapCut, Premiere, or Final Cut — hook in the first two seconds, on-screen text, burned-in captions, trending audio synced properly, clean pacing. Roughly **[3–5] finished videos per week.**
- **Batch.** Turn one shoot into a week of assets, not one post.
- **Repurpose.** Adapt a single piece across Reels, TikTok, and Stories with the right aspect ratios, specs, and native formatting for each.
- **Stay current.** Know which formats and sounds are working *this week*, and bring ideas rather than waiting for a brief.
- **Own the calendar.** Plan, schedule, publish. Track what performed and tell us why.

### Writing & Campaigns (30% of your time)

- Captions, hooks, and community replies in Alya's voice
- Email and SMS campaigns in Klaviyo end to end — copy, segmentation, scheduling, reporting
- Customer-facing copy: product pages, packaging inserts, partner outreach, our Substack
- Keep the voice consistent everywhere, and help us document it

### Admin & Founder Support (20% of your time)

Real administrative work, done properly. This is a third of the job, not filler.

- **Inbox.** Triage the founder's email, draft replies, make sure nothing goes unanswered.
- **Calendar.** Schedule across time zones, prep materials before meetings, capture notes and action items after.
- **Records.** Maintain order, inventory, sample, and gifting logs. Track receipts, invoices, and vendor payments.
- **Systems.** Keep Drive, Notion, and our spreadsheets organized enough that a new person could find anything in two minutes.
- **Research.** Vendors, sourcing, competitors, partnership targets — delivered as a short summary with a recommendation, not a pile of links.
- **Logistics.** Travel booking, event coordination, shipment tracking, and whatever else comes up.

### Operations (20% of your time)

- Own inventory tracking; flag reorders in time to hold **4 months** of cover
- Manage vendor and partner communication start to finish
- Keep projects and timelines moving without being asked
- Build the trackers and systems we don't have yet, maintain the ones we do have

---

## Who You Are

- **You edit video to a publishable standard.** Not "I've used CapCut." We will ask to see your work.
- **You write well enough that people notice.** You'll be drafting in our voice from week one.
- **You're organized in a way other people can see.** Trackers that stay current. Follow-ups that don't need chasing. Nothing dropped.
- **You have taste.** You can tell a considered wellness brand from a derivative one and say why.
- **You've worked somewhere small,** where "not my job" wasn't a category.
- **You ask early instead of guessing.**

## Tools

**You should already know:** CapCut, Premiere, or Final Cut · Google Workspace · Notion
**You'll pick up quickly:** Klaviyo, Shopify, Canva, Figma

## Bonus

- Wellness, CPG, or DTC brand experience
- You've grown a social account — yours or someone else's — and can show the numbers
- Photography or graphic design
- Events, partnerships, or influencer seeding
- Early-stage startup experience

---

## How to Apply

Send:

1. **A link to something you made.** A video you cut, an email you wrote, a brand you helped build. One is enough.
2. **Three sentences on a wellness brand you admire and why.** Specifics, not adjectives.
3. Your resume or LinkedIn.

No cover letter. We'll read the work.
