Job Title: Brand Messaging & Copywriter

Position: Full-time, Remote

About the Role

We are looking for a commercially sharp Brand Messaging & Copywriter who can write with both strategic discipline and persuasive force.

This is not a generic content role. We want someone who can help shape clear brand messaging, strengthen brand perception, and write copy that drives real commercial outcomes. You should be able to move between brand clarity and conversion performance — from landing pages and ads to email sequences, scripts, offers, and sales messaging.

At Wandering Lion, we do not believe in marketing activity without substance. We believe strong copy should help the right audience understand the brand, trust it faster, and take action with confidence. That means your writing needs to do more than sound good. It needs to perform.

Key Responsibilities

Brand voice and messaging
Help define, refine, and apply a consistent brand voice across all written materials.

Audience and offer clarity
Identify the most relevant audience for each campaign or content type, and write messaging that speaks directly to their pain points, goals, and buying triggers.

Brand and conversion copywriting
Write compelling, commercially effective copy across:

landing pages
sales pages

email
campaigns
ad copy
product or service pages
blogs
video scripts
nurture sequences
cold outreach emails

Direct-response writing
Develop persuasive copy that creates interest, builds trust, and drives the next step — whether that is a click, enquiry, booking, or sale.

Research and angle development
Research industries, offers, customer behaviour, and market context to develop stronger hooks, angles, and campaign messages.

Cold email and outbound messaging
Write high-converting cold email scripts and outbound messaging designed to start relevant conversations and generate booked calls.

Copy optimisation
Review performance, learn from results, and improve copy based on what actually converts — not personal attachment to wording.

Project management and collaboration
Manage multiple projects at once and work effectively across tools such as Asana and Google Docs, while collaborating with strategy, design, and performance teams.

What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in direct-response copywriting
Strong ability to write both long-form and short-form copy
Experience writing for ads, email, landing pages, sales pages, blogs, and campaign assets
Ability to write persuasive copy with clarity, urgency, intrigue, and strong calls to action
Excellent written and spoken English, with a C2-level standard preferred
Strong storytelling ability combined with commercial thinking
Ability to simplify complex or technical ideas into clear, compelling language
Experience writing B2B copy
Strong understanding of buyer psychology and how to write in a way that drives response
Willingness to look at results objectively and improve copy based on performance
Good organisation and multitasking skills across multiple projects
Preferred
Experience working with founder-led businesses, service businesses, or growth-focused brands
Familiarity with AI tools that improve research, workflow, or copy production quality
Strong understanding of brand positioning as well as conversion principles
Experience developing messaging frameworks, campaign angles, or offer positioning

Requirements
You genuinely enjoy writing and care about the business outcomes it creates
You have experience writing B2B copy
Your written English is extremely strong
You understand psychology, buyer motivation, and how to create curiosity and response
You are not overly attached to your own copy and are willing to refine it based on results
You are available full-time and able to maintain communication during the required working window, Monday to Friday

1) PC / Laptop specifications + internet speed

Are you currently employed or doing any side jobs or freelance work? We’re open to offshore tea ---------- mbers having multiple jobs — what matters most to us is transparency, so we understand your typical schedule and can support you properly.

3) Hubstaff tracker
Are you comfortable using Hubstaff time tracking? Our whole team operates remotely, including our field and admin staff in Australia. Hubstaff helps us understand time allocation across projects, improve internal reporting, and provide clearer updates to clients.

4) Working hours / availability
Can you commit to the required hours? Our standard workdays are Monday to Friday, generally within 9:00am–5:00pm (Philippines time). We offer reasonable flexibility — family and life come first — but we do need consistency and clear communication.

5) Expected salary (PHP)
