We are a New Zealand based accounting practice, and we are looking for a full-time Bookkeeper who has experience in Xero and Microsoft Excel. We already have two Filipinos in our team and you will be directly reporting to a Filipino CPA.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Xero bookkeeping experience in a real work environment. We are looking for candidates who have actually used Xero on a daily basis. Xero certification, online courses, or practice/training alone will not be considered sufficient.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets and financial reports
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with AI tools and technology to improve bookkeeping efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Karbon software experience is a plus.
Ideal, but not mandatory:
- You have prior BPO and/or accounting firm experience, handling multiple clients.
- Experience working with either New Zealand or Australian based clients.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, credit card statements, and accounts.
• Process weekly, fortnightly or monthly payroll
• Generate accurate financial reports and statements.
• Assist in preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in bookkeeping tasks.
• Liaise with internal tea

Your working hours:
This is a fully remote position so you can work from home providing you have a good internet connection. Your working hours will be NZ time 11am to 7pm with adjustment for hours for daylight savings.
Holidays / Leaves:
• We follow the Philippines official national regular public holidays
• 30 working days per year for annual and sick leave
Salary + Bonus:
• Your monthly salary will be PHP 35,000 per month paid through Wise.
• You will also get 13th month, pro-rated once you pass your 6-months probationary period.
• Your salary will be reviewed annually, subject to your performance and the company KPIs.
