JOB OVERVIEW

Mutti Homes is a residential construction and property management company in Edmonton, Canada. We’re looking for a part-time virtual Bookkeeper/Accountant who can also handle general admin tasks. This is a long-term position with potential to grow into full-time.
Key Details
• Part-Time: 20–25 hours per week
• Schedule: Must be available during Canadian Mountain Time (MST/MDT)
• Salary: Competitive – based on experience
• Start: Immediately
What You’ll Do
• Full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online (QBO) for multiple entities
• Accounts receivable: invoicing, payment tracking, and collections
• Accounts payable, bank/credit card reconciliations, and expense coding
• Construction job costing, budget tracking, and monthly financial reports
• Receipt capture using Dext or HubDoc
• GST filing prep and year-end support for external CPA
• General admin: email management, document prep, vendor follow-ups, scheduling, and data entry
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Construction industry experience (residential preferred)
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online – hands-on, not basic
• Strong accounts receivable experience
• Excellent English (written and verbal)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
• Reliable internet and professional home office setup
Bonus Skills
• Experience with Canadian companies or GST/HST
• Familiarity with JobTread, Dext, or e-signature tools
• Property management accounting experience
