This role supports Gameway’s finance leadership with full-cycle bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial close processes, inventory accounting, and day-to-day financial accuracy across our airport locations and corporate operations.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Support the Controller and Finance team with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close by preparing journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, reconciliations, and other accounting adjustments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Maintain accurate financial records by reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, merchant processor accounts, balance sheet accounts, sales activity, inventory, and cost of goods sold, while proactively researching and resolving discrepancies.
Ensure financial accuracy and compliance by reviewing transactions for proper coding, approvals, documentation, and adherence to internal controls, while maintaining organized, audit-ready records.
Partner with managers and cross-functional teams to support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, respond to accounting inquiries, gather required documentation, and complete ad hoc financial requests.
Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset by identifying errors, communicating issues promptly, strengthening bookkeeping processes, improving reporting, and supporting scalable financial operations as Gameway grows.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional bookkeeping experience required.
Three (3) years of progressive bookkeeping experience including full-cycle bookkeeping and supporting monthly financial close processes
Two (2) years of experience using QuickBooks.
Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and standard accounting principles.
Strong understanding of bank, credit card, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
Experience preparing journal entries, accruals, and financial adjustments.
Knowledge of inventory accounting and cost of goods sold.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills required.
Ability to work effectively with a U.S.-based team and attend meetings during agreed-upon U.S. business hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experienced with ---------- or similar accounts-payable software.
QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification
Accounting experience in multi-location retail, hospitality, restaurant, airport-concession, or entertainment.
Experience with Payroll accounting, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
Experience working with external accountants, auditors, and tax professionals.
