JOB OVERVIEW

About us

Picster is a travel photography company. Tourists book a professional photoshoot in a city they're visiting — Paris, Venice, Santorini, Rome — and meet a local photographer at a famous spot for a 30 to 90 minute session.

We started in 2023 with one shoot in Paris. Today we operate in 59 locations with 200+ active photographers

You would be joining our Operations team, reporting to Jireh, our Operations Manager.

What you'll actually do

This role has three core responsibilities. They're not vague — you'll be measured on them clearly.

1. Every booking has a photographer

When a customer books, the shoot goes out to our photographers, who claim it. Your job is to make sure nothing is ever left unclaimed.

You'll watch the dashboard through your shift, spot bookings nobody has picked up, and chase photographers directly on WhatsApp until they're covered. When a city is short, you'll escalate early rather than hoping it resolves itself.

Target: zero unclaimed shoots.

2. Shoots in your cities run smoothly

You'll own a set of cities and be responsible for what happens in them each day.

Every shoot must be accounted for — either the customer is checked in, or it's correctly marked as a no-show. When a photographer goes quiet, a customer is late, or the weather turns, you're the person who notices and sorts it before it becomes a problem.

Target: every shoot accounted for, every day.

3. Looking ahead, not just at today

The best coordinators stop problems from happening. You'll review the days and weeks ahead, find the gaps — a city with more bookings than available photographers, a weekend that looks thin, a photographer who has claimed more than they can realistically deliver — and flag them while there's still time to fix it.

Target: problems caught before they become emergencies.

Who we're looking for:

- Genuinely reliable. People are counting on you at a specific hour. If you say you'll check something, you check it.
Comfortable chasing people. Much of this job is politely but persistently getting answers out of busy photographers. If you find that uncomfortable, this isn't the role.
- Good written English. You'll message photographers and customers all day. Clear and friendly, not perfect and formal.
Organised, and calm under pressure. Some days multiple things go wrong at once. We need someone who works the list rather than panicking.
- Comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets. You'll read dashboards, spot patterns and report what you find.
Reliable internet and a working setup. This is a live operations role — you need to be online and reachable during your shift.

Nice to have (not required):

Experience in travel, tourism, hospitality or a booking-based business
Experience with booking systems
Experience coordinating freelancers or contractors
Familiarity with Slack, WhatsApp Business, and Google Sheets

What we offer:

Full-time, stable, long-term remote work
Paid time off and Philippine public holidays
Real responsibility from early on — you'll own your cities
A small team where your work is visible and your ideas get heard
Genuine progression as we grow. Several of our team started in different roles and grew with us.
We back our people and want you to succeed.

The times and days of the shifts are not yet determined, but the role is likely to be EU hours (9-5), and likely working pattern will include weekend working hours.

How to apply:

Please send:

A short message telling us about a time something went wrong at work and what you did about it. We're far more interested in that than in a list of your duties.
Your CV or résumé.
Your available start date.

Start your message with the word "TROCADÉRO" so we know you've read this properly. Applications without it won't be reviewed.

We read every application that follows these instructions, and we reply either way.
