Book Layout Artist (Full-Time)
Join Our Creative Team
We're looking for a talented Book Layout Artist to join our growing creative team on a full-time basis.
Our company develops premium printed products for multiple international brands, including books, journals, planners, children's books, tarot products, workbooks, stationery, and other professionally designed publications. Every product we create is designed to a high standard, and we're looking for someone who shares our passion for exceptional layout design and attention to detail.
This is a full-time position (8 hours per day) and is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys editorial design, typography, and creating beautiful, well-structured publications.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Book Layout Artist, you'll be responsible for creating and producing professional internal layouts across a wide range of printed products.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing professional interior book layouts from concept through to completion.
Working from existing brand templates while also creating new layouts from scratch.
Designing layouts for books, journals, planners, workbooks, children's books, colouring books, tarot guidebooks, packaging inserts, catalogues, and other printed publications.
Applying strong typography, spacing, hierarchy, and page composition principles.
Maintaining consistency across long documents.
Working closely with our creative team to ensure all publications meet our brand standards.
Revising layouts based on feedback and project requirements.
Preparing final artwork ready for production.
Software Requirements
Applicants should be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, including:
Adobe InDesign
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Acrobat
Essential Skills
We're looking for someone with:
Demonstrated experience designing book interiors and publication layouts
Excellent typography and page composition skills
Strong understanding of editorial design principles
Experience working with long documents
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to organise complex documents efficiently
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality
A genuine passion for creating polished, professional printed products
Bonus Skills
While not essential, experience in the following will be highly regarded:
Commercial print production
Preparing print-ready files for professional printing

Portfolio Requirement (Mandatory)
Applicants must provide a detailed portfolio showcasing publication layout work.
Your portfolio should demonstrate experience designing:
Book interiors
Editorial layouts
Journals
Workbooks
Planners
Other long-form publications
Applications without a portfolio demonstrating publication and book layout experience will not be considered.
Please note that portfolios containing only logos, branding, social media graphics, marketing materials, or general graphic design work without publication layouts will not be considered suitable for this role.
