JOB OVERVIEW

Hi! I'm Eve. I run an online reading community in Taiwan. Each month we follow a theme — this August, we're reading English personal finance books such as The Psychology of Money and Die With Zero — and I publish weekly content (book lists, book summaries, and long-form blog articles) for my community.

I'm looking for a reliable part-time Virtual Assistant to help me produce this month's content. If we work well together, I'd love to keep you on for my next project, so there is real potential for ongoing, long-term work.

What you'll be doing:

1. Drafting and editing blog posts in Traditional Chinese, based on my outlines, style guidelines, or existing sample posts.

2. Using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) to help draft content — then reviewing, fact-checking, and polishing the output so it matches my requirements (not just copy-pasting AI output)

3. Finding English-language resources related to our featured books: author interviews, podcasts, YouTube videos, and talks, and pulling out the valuable insights and highlights

4. Creating simple social media graphics (e.g., Instagram carousel cards and book list images) using AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude, following my templates and visual style

Who I'm looking for:

-Fully bilingual: you can read English books/articles/interviews comfortably, AND you can read and write Chinese well (my content is published in Traditional Chinese)

-Solid general writing skills — you don't need to be a professional writer, but you should write clearly and naturally

-Hands-on experience with AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude: you know how to write good prompts, judge the quality of the output, and edit it into something genuinely useful

-Basic graphic design ability: you can produce clean, consistent social media images (carousel cards, quote cards) with the help of AI tools — you don't need to be a professional designer, but you should have a good eye for layout and visual consistency

-Detail-oriented and dependable: you follow instructions carefully, meet deadlines, and double-check facts and details

-A self-starter who works well independently with async communication — I'll give you clear briefs, but I won't micromanage

Work details:

-2–4 hours per week to start, flexible schedule — you can work whenever suits you, as long as deadlines are met
-$10 USD per hour
-Long-term potential: after this month's project, I have another ongoing project waiting

How to apply:

To make sure you've read this post carefully, please start your application with the word "SALON". Then include:

-A short introduction of yourself — 2–3 sentences in English AND 2–3 sentences in Traditional Chinese
-A writing sample ( ---------- words) of any topic in Traditional Chinese
-1–2 samples of graphics you've made (social media images, slides, or anything visual — AI-assisted is totally fine)

I'm excited to have you on my team!
