JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

We run YouTube channels and need a reliable video editor to handle the full production pipeline from script to finished file. This is a straightforward, repeatable workflow. If you're detail-oriented, fast, and don't need hand-holding, this role is for you.

---

What You'll Do

- Receive a written script and use our ElevenLabs account to generate the voiceover narration
- Source relevant footage using our stock footage library and the open web (no copyright violations — licensed/royalty-free only)
- Edit everything together cleanly: footage synced to narration, proper pacing, no dead air, smooth cuts
- Export at high quality (1080p minimum, good bitrate — no compressed garbage)
- Upload final files and project assets to Google Drive following our folder structure
- Log every video's status and progress in Trello
- Communicate daily through Slack — updates, questions, blockers

---

What We're Not Looking For

- Someone who disappears for days without updates
- Editors who use random copyrighted footage without checking
- People who need step-by-step instructions for every basic task

---

Requirements

- Proven video editing experience (portfolio or sample edits required — no portfolio, no consideration)
- Comfortable with ElevenLabs or similar TTS/AI voiceover tools
- Knows how to find and vet royalty-free footage
- Familiar with Trello, Google Drive, and Slack
- Reliable internet and a machine that can actually handle video editing
- Good English reading comprehension — you'll be working from English scripts
- Available during reasonable overlapping hours for async communication

---

Software

We don't care if you use Premiere, DaVinci, or CapCut as long as the output is clean. Tell us what you use.

---

Pay

Per video or monthly retainer — open to both. State your rate in your application.

---

How to Apply

Don't send a generic application. Write 2–3 sentences on how you'd approach sourcing footage for a history video, tell us what editing software you use, and attach or link your portfolio. Applications without a portfolio will be ignored.
