JOB OVERVIEW

We're looking for someone who can take a plain-English brief and turn it into a working automation, inside a client's own tools, not ours. This is real client work: helping small business owners get systems in place so their day runs on autopilot instead of manual busywork.

What you'll actually build
The briefs will already be scoped for you, but here's the shape of the work, and it varies client to client because every client's tools are different. A property management company with a full team needs a shared Slack channel that gets a daily pull of new listings, cross-checked against ownership records, so nobody's chasing paperwork by hand. A small business owner needs their leads landing wherever they already track them (their own CRM, a spreadsheet, whatever they use), tagged, and dropped into a follow-up sequence automatically. A solo business owner wants an assistant that drafts her newsletter, writes social posts, and logs who's shown interest, without her ever touching the automation herself. You take the brief, figure out where it needs to live (the client's Slack, their spreadsheet, their CRM if they have one, Zapier or Make as the connector), build it, test it, and hand it back working.

One rule that never changes: nothing you build lives inside our own systems. Every build lives inside the client's own accounts. You're not maintaining one shared structure across clients, you're building fluently inside whatever each client already uses.

What we need
Real, hands-on experience with automation tools: Zapier or Make at minimum, plus comfort picking up whatever a client already has (Slack workflows, Airtable, Google Sheets, a CRM like GoHighLevel if they happen to use one). Not "I've watched the tutorials." We'll ask for examples.

Comfortable working inside a new client's tools every time, cleanly, without breaking what's already there.
Good written English and good written questions. You'll get a brief and need to ask what's missing, not guess and hope.
Familiar with ChatGPT, Codex and Claude Code as working tools. Several builds will wire AI into a workflow (drafting content, logging and summarizing) not just moving data between apps.

Reliable and available part-time, 10 to 15 hours a week to start, with more hours as client work grows.

How this grows
You start on internal builds, small workflows for our own operations, so we can see clean work before any client's business is on the line. Once you've shipped three clean internal builds, you move to real client work. From there, more hours and first access as we take on new clients.

To apply, send:
Two or three examples of automations you've built, in Zapier, Make, or any other tool, ideally across more than one type of client tool (not just one CRM). Screenshots or a short Loom walkthrough are great.
One sentence on the trickiest automation you've ever had to debug, and what was actually wrong with it.

Start your application with the word "Automations" as the first line, so I know you read the whole post and didn't copy-paste a template.

Shortlisted applicants get a small paid test task before anything else: a real brief, a small build, paid for your time whether we move forward together or not.
