JOB OVERVIEW

We are an Australian accounting firm seeking a dedicated and experienced Xero Accountant/Bookkeeper

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU SATISFY ALL THE REQUIREMENTS BELOW:

- Extensive Xero experience - 3 years +
- If you have worked in an Australian accounting firm before (do not apply if you have only done bookkeeping for Australian accountants)
- Experience assisting with year-end accounts and workpapers (tax returns, financial statements for company's, trusts)
- Must not have active employment and willing to work full time soon

This role will start at 20 hours per week and quickly scale to full-time (40 hours per week) for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone long-term who wants stability, growth, and consistent work.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform end-to-end bookkeeping in Xero (bank reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll support)
Assist with BAS preparation and GST coding
Prepare workpapers and assist in year-end financial statements
Work across multiple Australian business clients

Work Structure:

Start: 20 hours per week
Scale: 40 hours per week (full-time)
Exclusive role – must not be working with other clients or employers
