Associate Creative Strategist | Meta Ads & DTC Performance Creative

Remote | Full-Time Contractor | Long-Term Role | Fast-Paced Agency

We are Dominate Next, a performance marketing agency based in Scotland. We help direct-to-consumer ecommerce brands across the UK, US and Australia scale through Meta ads and performance creative.

We are hiring an Associate Creative Strategist to support our creative strategy team across ecommerce clients.

This is not a general social media role. This is not a content calendar role. This is not a branding-only role.

This role is about researching customers, finding strong ad angles, analysing competitor creative, writing clear creative briefs, and helping our team produce Meta ads that are designed to convert.

You will work closely with our Creative Strategy Lead, paid social team, graphic designer and video editor. You will start by supporting research, analysis and briefing. Over time, if you perform well, this role can grow into a full Creative Strategist position where you own creative strategy for client accounts.

What you will do
- Research DTC ecommerce brands, customers, competitors and markets.
- Analyse Meta Ad Library, TikTok, Reddit, reviews, comments and competitor ads to find customer language and creative angles.
- Build customer personas based on desires, fears, beliefs, objections and buying triggers.
- Help identify creative gaps in client ad accounts.
- Write clear creative briefs for UGC videos, founder videos, mashups, and statics.
- Turn product benefits into strong ad hooks, angles and messages.
- Review creative outputs from designers and video editors against the brief.
- Support the team with ad iteration ideas.
- Learn how performance data connects to creative decisions.

What we need from you

Must-haves
- Strong written English.
- Strong research ability.
- Understanding of DTC ecommerce brands.
- Understanding of Meta ads and paid social creative.
- Ability to write clear hooks, angles, scripts and briefs.
- Ability to think in terms of customer psychology, not just product features.
- Good eye for what makes content native to TikTok, Reels and Meta feeds.
- Organised, reliable and able to meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, feedback-heavy environment.
- Willing to learn our creative strategy process and improve quickly.

Big plus
- Experience writing UGC video briefs.
- Experience with Meta Ad Library, Foreplay, Atria, Motion, Magic Brief or similar tools.
- Experience working with ecommerce brands.
- Experience analysing ad performance metrics like CPA, CTR, hook rate, hold rate, ROAS, MER or frequency.
- Experience briefing designers, editors or UGC creators.
- Experience with beauty, wellness, food, drink, home, lifestyle or supplement brands.

This role is probably right for you if

This role is probably not right for you if
- You only want to manage social media calendars.
- You mainly create organic Instagram posts.
- You only do brand strategy and do not care about performance.
- You do not like research.
- You struggle with written English.
- You need very detailed instructions for every task.
- You are not interested in e-commerce, Meta ads or direct response creative.

Working setup
- Full-time remote contractor role.
- 37.5 hours per week.
- Long-term position if you perform well.
- You will work UK hours or have significant overlap with UK working hours.
- You will be part of a small, high-performance creative team.
- You will receive training on our internal creative strategy process.
- You will start by supporting the Creative Strategy Lead, with progression into more ownership over time.
- You will invoice us monthly as an independent contractor. You are responsible for your own tax and BIR registration in the Philippines.

Pay
- $1,000 per month
