JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our finance team remotely, supporting monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, and cross-functional finance projects. This role works closely with our HQ-based finance team and requires strong communication skills and comfort working across time zones.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for HQ review
Support the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Help prepare variance analyses and management reporting packages
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards
Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and schedules
Assist with accounts payable/receivable oversight and general ledger maintenance
Participate in special finance projects, process improvements, and system implementations
Ensure compliance with internal controls and coordinate with HQ finance on policy alignment
Maintain overlap availability with HQ working hours for meetings and handoffs (specify required overlap, e.g., X hours/day)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1–2 years of relevant accounting experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/accounting systems required
Experience with Sage is a strong advantage
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Reliable high-speed internet and a suitable remote work setup
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision in a distributed team
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
Analytical mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach
