JOB OVERVIEW

Distrosub is an artist-first music streaming platform based in Brisbane, Australia. Fans subscribe directly to the artists they love from as little as 10 cents a month, and artists keep 80% of every subscription. Independent artists anywhere in the world can join.

We already have live pages on ---------- for thousands of independent artists (mostly Australian so far). Those artists can claim their page in a couple of minutes. Any other artist can create their own profile at ---------- in about the same time.

Your job: get independent artists from Australia, the US, the UK and Europe, Asia and everywhere else to claim their page or create their profile.

WHAT YOU WILL DO EVERY DAY

- Work through artist lists we give you (each of these artists already has a page on ---------- ), and also find independent artists yourself on Bandcamp, SoundCloud, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, ---------- , local music sites and wherever else they live online.
- Find the best contact email for each artist from their own public pages (website, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, Instagram bio, Facebook page, YouTube about page). Record where you found it.
- Send each artist a short, personal email from a Distrosub mailbox using our templates, with a line or two that shows you actually looked at their music.
- Follow up on day 5 and day 12 if they have not replied.
- Answer simple questions with our FAQ answers and pass everything else to the founder.
- Log everything in our CRM ( ---------- ) the same day: artist, contact, source, email sent, reply, claimed or signed up.
- Send a short end-of-week report: contacts found, emails sent, replies, sign-ups, what worked and what did not.

BRING IDEAS

We do not want a robot. We want someone who will try things. We will give you email templates to start with, and you can propose your own variations and new subject lines for approval. You can also propose other ways to reach artists (a Reddit community, a ---------- server, a genre forum, a local music directory, a different angle for a different country). Each week you can pitch one experiment. If we approve it, you run it for a week and we compare the results against the baseline. The ideas that work become part of the job.

TARGETS

- After your first week: 30 or more first-contact emails in each 4-hour day, plus that day's follow-ups
- A usable contact found for at least 60% of the artists you research
- Every contact logged in the CRM the same day, no exceptions
- Quality matters as much as volume: right name, right link, one specific line about the artist, no copy-paste errors

HARD RULES

- No bots, no DM automation tools, no bought or scraped lists, no bulk-sending software. Every message is written and sent by you, one at a time.
- Only contact addresses artists publish themselves for business contact. Every email identifies Distrosub and offers a way to opt out. Anyone who says no is marked in the CRM and never contacted again.
- New templates, new channels and new angles are only used after we approve them.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Excellent written English. You are writing to real musicians and the email has to sound like a person.
- You like music and can spend five minutes on an artist's page and say something specific about them.
- Careful with details: names spelt right, the right link, the CRM updated.
- Comfortable sending outreach every day and following up without being pushy.
- Curious and self-directed: you notice what gets replies and you suggest the next thing to try.
- Reliable: you show up for your hours and tell us early if something changes.
- Experience with email outreach, lead research or CRM work is a plus. A background in music is a bigger plus.

PAY AND HOURS

- $3 USD per hour, paid twice a month via Wise or your preferred method
- Part-time: 20 hours a week, 4 hours a day Monday to Friday, worked between 8am and 1pm Philippine time so we overlap with our morning in Brisbane
- Long-term role for the right person, with a pay review after 3 months and the option of full-time hours if the results are there
- The first two weeks are a paid trial at the same rate. You get your first artist list, the templates, FAQ answers and CRM access on day one. We look at your contact-find rate, the quality of your emails, your logging and your reply rate. If it works for both of us, you continue.

HOW TO APPLY

Start your message with the word CASSETTE so we know you read this. Then answer these four things:

1. Pick any independent artist from any country who is not yet on ---------- . Tell us their name, the country, the email address you found for them, and where you found it.
2. Write the email you would send them to get them onto Distrosub. Under 150 words. Write it yourself: generic AI text will be obvious and will not get an interview.
3. Tell us about any outreach, lead generation or CRM work you have done, with numbers if you have them.
4. What hours can you work, in Philippine time?
