JOB OVERVIEW

Remote | Philippines | Australian Commercial & Modular Construction

Rapid Modular is an Australian commercial construction company based in Perth, Western Australia. We specialise in modular buildings, educational facilities, childcare centres and commercial construction.

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Draftsperson / Revit Technician to support our growing project workload on a flexible, ongoing basis.

This is not a basic CAD tracing role. We are looking for someone who can interpret sketches, mark-ups, consultant information and project requirements, and turn them into clear, accurate construction documentation.

What you'll be doing
Preparing architectural drawings in Revit
Floor plans, elevations, sections and construction details
Preliminary and tender drawings
Planning and building approval documentation
Updating drawings from project manager and consultant mark-ups
Coordinating structural, hydraulic, electrical and other consultant information
Producing 3D building views where required
Developing and maintaining standard details and Revit families
Assisting with modular building layouts and site plans
Preparing drawing sets for Australian commercial projects
What we're looking for

Essential:

Strong Revit experience
Strong architectural drafting skills
Minimum 3 years professional drafting experience
Excellent attention to detail
Good written and spoken English
Ability to work independently from sketches and mark-ups
Understanding of australian construction methods and detailing
Reliable computer and high-speed internet connection
Availability during Perth, Western Australia business hours

Highly desirable:

Previous experience working for Australian architects, builders or construction companies
Familiarity with the NCC / BCA
Knowledge of Australian construction terminology and standards
Commercial, education or childcare project experience
Modular or prefabricated building experience
AutoCAD experience
Bluebeam experience
Consultant coordination experience
Working arrangement

We are initially looking for someone on a part-time / project basis, with the opportunity to increase hours and potentially develop into a long-term full-time position.

We are interested in finding the right person(s) to become a long-term part of our drafting team, rather than simply outsourcing individual drawings.

Hours can increase as our project workload grows.

Software and equipment

You will need your own suitable computer/workstation and reliable internet connection and if you have your own Revit licensing that will be highly desirable.

Please advise which software and licences you currently have access to, including Revit and AutoCAD.

Company software access may be provided depending on the final working arrangement.
