We are seeking a reliable architectural drafter/BIM modeler for remote, part-time work on a paid trial basis, with potential for full-time work. Excellent spoken and written English and familiarity with U.S. architectural and construction terminology are essential.
You should have experience producing U.S. architectural construction documents, models, and details, preferably for residential, school, and healthcare projects. We need someone who understands wood framing, steel studs, structural steel and metal buildings, concrete, and CMU—not just how to draw them. You should follow good industry practices for drawing standards, model organization, coordination, and quality control.
Software experience we’re looking for:
• AutoCAD: Plans, elevations, sections, details, external references, layouts, and dynamic blocks.
• Revit: Full architectural BIM models, construction documents, schedules, families, and detailing.
• Vectorworks: Architectural drawings, BIM models, sections, details, and organized sheet production.
• SketchUp: Preliminary architectural design and 3D models, particularly designs that can be brought into Revit and developed into native BIM elements.
• Twinmotion: Architectural renderings and walkthroughs.
Experience with BOTH Revit and Vectorworks is especially valuable. Tell us if you have used them together and how you exchanged or coordinated files. Also describe any projects where you developed a preliminary SketchUp design into a Revit model and construction documents.
You must communicate consistently, meet agreed deadlines, provide realistic time estimates and progress updates, and work using your own capable computer, software, and reliable internet.
To apply, please send:
1. Your résumé and a summary of your project and construction experience.
2. For each program above: the version you currently have, years of professional experience, skill rating from 0–10, and a brief description of work you’ve done with it. List other relevant software as well.
3. Three to five work samples, including construction drawings and details. Identify the portions you personally completed and remove confidential information.
4. Your computer specifications (processor, RAM, graphics card, storage, and operating system) and internet download/upload speeds, with a recent speed-test screenshot.
5. Your available hours and schedule in Philippine time, earliest start date, and expected hourly rate and currency.
Shortlisted candidates may be offered a paid skills assessment. The paid part-time trial will help us evaluate drawing quality, construction knowledge, communication, and reliability.
