About Ink Different Apprenticeships
Ink Different Apprenticeships is America’s only national tattoo apprenticeship. We’ve been training tattoo artists for fifteen years, work with artists seen on shows like Ink Master and Tattoo Rescue, and have grown from five locations in 2023 to nearly seventy today. We are growing fast, and we are hiring for people who will grow with us.

This is a highly competitive position

What you’ll do

* Run monthly apprentice check-ins, follow-ups, and documentation
* Maintain detailed trackers in Google Sheets and Google Docs, and keep records accurate.
* Cross-check records for errors, inconsistencies, and patterns, and report what you find, while also figuring out solutions to present to your team lead
* Write clear, professional emails to apprentices that balance empathy with directness
* Send payment-related notices, including suspension and unsuspension emails, based on information from our finance team
* Communicate across departments without fear
* Follow SOPs exactly, and use good judgment when something doesn’t look right

Spreadsheet skills are required, and you will be tested
This role lives in GOOGLE spreadsheets & docs. Changing fonts, colors, and copying and pasting is not enough. If you are chosen for an interview, you will complete a live skills test in Google Sheets and Google Docs. You should be able to:

*Sort, filter, and organize large sets of data
* Compare two sheets and find what doesn’t match
* Build and clean up a tracker from raw information
* Create and format professional documents in Google Docs & Google Sheets
* Also have a minimum typing score of 50 wpm, which will be tested

The skills test is done in Google Sheets and Google Docs. Knowing Microsoft Excel or Word is not a substitute. If you only know Excel and are not already comfortable in Google Sheets/Docs, please do not apply.

If you cannot complete the skills test, the interview will end at that point. We do this so no one’s time is wasted.

Requirements

* Moderate to advanced skills in Google Sheets and Google Docs (NOT Microsoft Office Suite knowledge only)
* Typing speed of at least 50 WPM (tested)
* A reliable computer, stable internet, a backup internet connection, and a quiet workspace
* Available Monday through Friday during US Eastern daytime hours, with a start time between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM EST

Schedule and pay

Independent contractor position, with no employee benefits
Starts at [4] hours per day and grows to 6–8 hours per day as training progresses
$4.00 USD per hour for the first 90 days, then $6.00 USD per hour, with yearly raises based on performance
Pay is not negotiable
