JOB OVERVIEW

This is a booking job, not a calling job. We count dials, but we pay for meetings that show. If you’re the setter who gets more yeses than the people around you and you’re tired of a flat hourly that pays the same whether you book or not, read on. If you want a quiet shift leaving voicemails, this isn’t it.

About us - Powers Advisory is a US accounting firm doing bookkeeping, job costing and taxes for construction contractors across the United States. The owner, Parker, is a hands-on founder who answers his own phone. You would be the first voice our prospects hear, and the reason they get on his calendar.

The Job - Call US contractor owners from a list we build for you (name, company, trade, city, phone, licensed for years, so these are real businesses). Short conversational script, you make it your own after week one. Your one goal on every call: get the owner to say yes to a free 20-minute “Books Diagnostic” kickoff, and book it live on the founder’s Calendly while they’re still on the phone. You don’t quote prices beyond one sentence we give you, and you don’t need to: the offer is free and good, your job is to make the owner want it in 40 seconds. Every dial logged in a shared Google Sheet, one-line summary at the end of each shift.

The numbers we expect - 100 dials per 4-hour shift. 15 to 20 real owner conversations. 2 booked per shift once you’re warmed up. We review recordings weekly and we’ll tell you exactly where calls are being lost. Setters who hit the numbers get more hours and a raise at 90 days. Setters who don’t after 30 days are replaced. We’d rather say that here than surprise you.

Hours - Part-time, 16 hours a week: Tuesday through Friday, 4 hours a day, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM US Mountain Time. In Manila, that is 12:00 midnight to 4:00 AM (1:00 to 5:00 AM from November through March). This is a fixed overnight block; please apply only if you can work it every week, long term.

Pay - $7 to $10 USD per hour base depending on experience, plus $15 for every booked meeting that shows up, plus $100 extra any month you hit 20 shows. A setter doing 10 shows a week clears roughly $1,200 to $1,400 a month at 16 hours a week. Paid weekly via Wise. Paid 10-call trial first ($20), then 30 days, then ongoing.

Requirements -
Fluent, clear, easily understood spoken English with a neutral accent. Our customers are US tradespeople on noisy job sites; they must understand you the first time, every time. The voice memo below tests this and nothing else gets you past it.
At least one year of US outbound phone work with real booking or sales numbers you can state: appointment setting, telemarketing, or phone sales. Chat or email support does not count.
Comfortable with blue-collar business owners. Direct, warm, quick on your feet. You hear “we already have a bookkeeper” and you have a next sentence.
Quiet workspace, stable internet, headset, on time every shift.
Google Sheets and Calendly (we train the specifics).

How to apply (all four, or you’re skipped) -
1. Most recently updated resume.
2. Your numbers from your last US phone role: what you were booking or selling, dials per day, bookings or sales per week, and how long you held the job.
3. A 30 to 45 second voice memo reading this naturally, as if on a real call:
“Hi, is this Mike? This is Sam calling for Powers Advisory. Quick one, I know you’re busy. We do books, job costing, and business taxes for contractors like yours, one flat fee starting at $599 a month, taxes included. Right now we're offering a free 48-hour books diagnostic. Is knowing your real margin by job something you’d want to see?”
4. In the same memo, without stopping, answer this objection in your own words: “Yeah, we’ve got a bookkeeper already.”

**Put the word DIAGNOSTIC in the first line of your application so we know you read this far.
