JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

Sound Commerce is a payment processing consulting agency that manages and outsources payment operations for online e-commerce businesses. We are hiring a VA to support our Analysts with the setup and ongoing maintenance of managed service clients. You'll be the one making sure new merchant accounts are tested and working correctly, and that CRM records stay accurate and current as new merchant IDs come online.

What You'll Do

Run test transactions on newly configured merchant accounts to confirm everything works before go-live
Add and maintain merchant IDs in CRM records — new IDs plus updates to descriptors, contact info, status, caps, or constraints as they change
Gather supporting documentation for processor inquiries so analysts can respond within SLA
Manage tickets end-to-end — capturing action items from client calls, keeping documentation current, and tracking everything to completion
Support analysts with other setup/maintenance tasks as they come up


Required Skills

Hard Skills (Must Have):
Experience with QA/testing, transaction verification, or account setup validation
Comfortable working in CRM systems for data entry and record maintenance
Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
High accuracy with data entry

Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail
Process-driven and consistent
Comfortable handling confidential merchant and financial data
Able to follow SOPs exactly

Preferred (Nice to Have)
Experience in the payments industry (payment processing, merchant services, fintech, or e-commerce operations)
Experience and comfortable working in a startup environment
Familiarity with payment gateways or CRM platforms
QA or testing experience in any technical/operational context
