AMAZON MARKETPLACE TRADING & LISTING OPTIMISATION SPECIALIST (REMOTE VA)
Company: Talking Tables
Location: Remote
Type: Long-term, ongoing opportunity
Experience: Proven Amazon trading and listing optimisation experience required. Vendor Central experience preferred.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Amazon Marketplace Trading Specialist to take ownership of a selection of our products (SKUs) and focus entirely on improving their sales performance, visibility and profitability on Amazon.
This is not an administrative VA role. We are looking for someone who understands how to grow sales on Amazon, can identify opportunities through data and competitor research, and knows how to turn those insights into measurable results.
You will be responsible for managing and optimising a portfolio of products, identifying what is holding back their performance and implementing improvements to drive growth.
We want someone who is proactive, analytical and commercially minded, rather than someone who simply completes tasks when instructed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. LISTING OPTIMISATION & SEO
- Optimise product titles, bullet points, descriptions and backend search terms.
- Conduct keyword research to improve organic visibility and rankings.
- Review and improve product imagery, A+ Content and overall listing quality.
- Identify underperforming listings and implement improvements.
- Continuously test, review and refine listings based on performance data.
2. COMPETITOR & MARKET ANALYSIS
- Research competing products, brands and market trends.
- Analyse competitor pricing, positioning, imagery, keywords and content.
- Identify gaps and opportunities where our products can gain market share.
- Review pricing structures and recommend changes to improve competitiveness and profitability.
- Identify successful competitor strategies that could be applied to our listings.
3. DATA ANALYSIS & PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT
- Analyse Amazon performance data to understand what is driving or limiting sales.
- Diagnose issues such as declining sales, low conversion rates, poor visibility or reduced competitiveness.
- Use data to identify opportunities for growth and prioritise improvements.
- Monitor sales, conversion, traffic, keyword rankings and profitability.
- Track and report on the impact of listing changes, showing measurable results.
4. SKU OWNERSHIP & TRADING STRATEGY
- Take full ownership of an assigned portfolio of SKUs.
- Develop and implement an ongoing optimisation strategy for each product.
- Prioritise products and actions based on their potential commercial impact.
- Proactively suggest new ideas and improvements without waiting for instructions.
- Provide regular updates on what has been changed, why, and the results achieved.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential:
- Proven experience growing sales and improving product performance on Amazon.
- Strong knowledge of Amazon SEO, keyword research and listing optimisation.
- Experience conducting competitor research and pricing analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to diagnose performance issues using data.
- Experience using Amazon analytics and keyword research tools.
- A clear understanding of the relationship between traffic, conversion, pricing and profitability.
- Ability to work independently and take genuine ownership of results.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience working with Amazon Vendor Central (1P), rather than solely Seller Central (3P).
- Experience using tools such as Helium 10, Jungle Scout or similar.
- Experience managing and optimising products across multiple Amazon marketplaces, including the UK, US and Europe.
- Experience working with established consumer brands and competitive product categories.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
We are not measuring success by how many listings you edit or how many tasks you complete.
We want to see genuine improvements in the performance of the SKUs you manage, including:
- Increased sales and revenue.
- Improved organic search visibility and keyword rankings.
- Higher conversion rates.
- Stronger competitiveness against similar products.
- Improved profitability where possible.
- Clear, data-backed explanations of what has worked and what hasn't.
We expect you to treat your assigned products as your own portfolio and continuously look for ways to improve their performance.
HOW TO APPLY – IMPORTANT
We are only interested in candidates who can demonstrate previous success optimising Amazon listings.
Please include the following in your application:
1. Examples of Amazon listings you have personally worked on, ideally with ASINs or links to the products.
2. Evidence of the results you achieved, such as before-and-after sales performance, conversion rate improvements, keyword ranking changes or other relevant metrics. Screenshots or reports are welcome.
3. An explanation of what you actually did to achieve those results. We want to understand your personal contribution, not just the overall account performance.
4. Your experience with Amazon Vendor Central, if applicable, including which marketplaces you have managed.
5. The tools you use for competitor analysis, keyword research, listing optimisation and performance tracking.
Please also briefly explain how you would approach taking over a portfolio of 20 underperforming Amazon SKUs and deciding which improvements to prioritise.
Applications without relevant examples of previous work and measurable results are unlikely to be considered.
WHAT WE OFFER
- A long-term opportunity with an established UK consumer products brand.
- The opportunity to take real ownership of a portfolio of Amazon products.
- A focused role dedicated to trading, optimisation and commercial growth.
- Remote working with the potential for an ongoing working relationship.
We're looking for someone who can make a measurable difference to our Amazon performance, not simply maintain our existing listings.
