Role: Amazon & Walmart Marketplace Manager
WINPRO Pet | Demand Capture + Brand Protection
How We Use Marketplaces (Non-Negotiable Context)
Amazon and Walmart are demand capture platforms, not growth engines.
We do not try to out-compete the platform.
We do protect pricing, margins, inventory, and brand trust.
This role exists to make sure:
We show up when customers are already searching for us
Our pricing is protected
Our inventory never quietly runs out
Amazon/Walmart never becomes a silent tax on the business
Core Responsibilities
1. Brand Protection & Unauthorized Seller Control (Top Priority)
Actively monitor Amazon and Walmart for:
Unauthorized sellers
Buy Box hijacking
Price erosion / MAP violations
Open, manage, and persistently follow up on cases until resolved
Maintain a clean seller log (who, what, when, status)
Escalate strategically when Amazon support stalls
Think like a bulldog: organized, relentless, unfazed by friction
2. Demand Capture Advertising (Amazon + Walmart)
Manage and monitor branded + high-intent demand capture campaigns
Ensure:
Top-of-search presence when it matters
Spend stays efficient and intentional
Pause, adjust, or flag waste quickly
This is not aggressive scaling — it’s controlled defense
3. Inventory Forecasting & In-Stock Protection
Forecast inventory for Amazon and Walmart to prevent OOS
Monitor:
Weeks on hand
Inbound shipments
Restock limits / constraints
Flag risks early (before they become emergencies)
Coordinate closely with operations
4. Listing Optimization & Light Testing
Own listing health:
Titles, bullets, images, A+ content, variations
Execute simple, thoughtful optimizations
Run light split tests where appropriate
Prioritize clarity, compliance, and conversion — not over-engineering
5. Customer Experience (Marketplace-Native)
Manage customer messages, questions, and reviews
Respond quickly and professionally
Protect brand voice and trust
Spot patterns in feedback that signal listing or product issues
6. Reporting & Daily Ownership
Daily reporting across Amazon and Walmart, including:
Sales
Buy Box %
Seller issues
Inventory status
Ad spend health
Nothing should “surprise” leadership
If something looks off, it gets flagged immediately
What We’re Looking For
Proven Amazon (and ideally Walmart) operator
Extremely organized and persistent
Comfortable pushing back on Amazon support
Understands brand defense > platform growth
Can manage ads responsibly without overspending
Thinks in margins, not vanity metrics
What This Role Is Not
Not a VA task-runner
Not a growth hacker
Not an arbitrage or reseller mindset
Not “set it and forget it”
Success Looks Like
Pricing is stable
Unauthorized sellers don’t linger
Inventory stays in stock
Ads stay efficient
Customers are taken care of
Marketplaces stop being stressful
