JOB OVERVIEW

Amazon UK FBA Wholesale Sourcing & Supplier Development Specialist

We have been operating a growing Amazon UK business for four years, with online arbitrage forming a significant part of our success.
We are now looking to accelerate our growth by expanding our wholesale sourcing strategy, establishing official supplier accounts and developing long-term relationships with wholesalers, distributors and brands.
We are looking for an experienced Amazon FBA Wholesale Sourcing Specialist who can independently discover reliable suppliers, establish wholesale accounts and identify profitable products for Amazon UK.
Our priority is finding genuine wholesale opportunities that can generate consistent, repeatable profits rather than relying on widely used supplier platforms or one-off product deals.

This is not an entry-level position. We need someone with proven wholesale sourcing experience who can contribute from day one.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Discover reliable, lesser-known wholesalers, authorised distributors and potential direct brand suppliers.
- Research and contact suppliers to establish official wholesale accounts.
- Negotiate competitive pricing, minimum order quantities (MOQs) and trade terms where possible.
- Analyse wholesale catalogues to identify profitable products for Amazon UK.
- Evaluate product demand, competition, Buy Box history, pricing, ROI and potential risks.
- Assess actual profitability after Amazon fees, VAT, shipping and applicable import costs.
- Verify supplier legitimacy, product authenticity, restrictions and suitability for Amazon resale.
- Maintain supplier relationships and identify opportunities for repeat purchases and improved trade terms.
- Prepare wholesale purchase orders and coordinate supplier shipments to our UK prep centre following purchasing approval.
- Build a growing portfolio of profitable products from reliable wholesale suppliers.

We are particularly interested in sourcing opportunities that are not already heavily exploited by other Amazon sellers.

REQUIREMENTS

- Proven Amazon FBA Wholesale sourcing experience, particularly in the UK marketplace.
- Demonstrable experience discovering suppliers and successfully establishing wholesale accounts.
- Strong knowledge of wholesale sourcing methods, supplier research and account acquisition.
- Proficiency with Keepa, BuyBotPro (BBP), ScanUnlimited, Analyzer Tools or similar software.
- Understanding of Amazon fees, ROI, sales rank, Keepa charts, gating and intellectual property (IP) risks.
- Ability to assess supplier reliability, resale eligibility and realistic product profitability.
- Strong written English communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent research, analytical and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and deliver measurable results.
- Ability to take ownership of responsibilities, manage tasks and supplier relationships independently and resolve routine issues without constant supervision.
- Proactive approach to identifying opportunities, following up with suppliers and presenting well-researched solutions rather than simply reporting problems.
- Reliable internet connection and availability to work full-time.

We are not looking for beginners or candidates who require training in the fundamentals of Amazon Wholesale sourcing.

Additional advantages, but not requirements:

- Existing professional relationships with brands, wholesalers or authorised distributors.
- Experience establishing direct brand partnerships.
- Experience sourcing internationally and handling UK import considerations.
- Experience negotiating better wholesale pricing based on purchasing volumes.
- Experience managing wholesale purchasing, supplier orders, stock replenishment and deliveries to UK prep centres.
- Broader Amazon account management or operational experience.

PERFORMANCE AND GROWTH

We are looking for someone who can build a sustainable wholesale sourcing operation that generates consistent and increasing profitability.
We value the quality of supplier relationships, successful account openings and repeatable profitability over simply submitting large numbers of product leads.
While we offer a guaranteed fixed monthly salary, we are looking for people who consistently deliver measurable results and demonstrate continuous improvement. Long-term opportunities with our company will depend on your performance, initiative and ability to contribute to the growth and profitability of our business.
We understand that building successful wholesale relationships takes time and performance will be evaluated realistically, taking into account factors such as purchasing budgets, stock availability and market conditions.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate previous results and explain what they realistically believe they can achieve in this role.
We are looking for someone who can take genuine ownership of our wholesale sourcing operations, work independently and help us build a more efficient and scalable business. Our goal is to find someone who not only generates profitable opportunities but also reduces the need for day-to-day management involvement as our wholesale operations grow.
We believe that strong performance should be rewarded. Candidates who consistently establish valuable wholesale accounts and generate increasing, sustainable profits will have opportunities for salary increases and additional performance-based bonuses.

Our goal is to develop long-term working relationships with people who can grow alongside our business.

TO APPLY, PLEASE ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS

1. What experience do you have sourcing wholesale products for Amazon UK? Please describe your previous responsibilities and results.

2. Have you successfully opened official wholesale accounts with wholesalers, authorised distributors or brands for previous clients? Approximately how many accounts have you established and what results did they generate? Please provide examples where possible without disclosing confidential information.

3. Name your top 3 lesser-known wholesalers or authorised distributors that you believe could offer profitable sourcing opportunities for Amazon UK. Include their websites and briefly explain why you selected them. We are particularly interested in suppliers that are not widely used by Amazon sellers, so please avoid popular platforms such as Qogita, BigBuy or similar commonly recommended wholesalers. We only expect publicly available information, not confidential supplier details from previous clients.

4. What monthly sales revenue and net profit have products you sourced generated for previous clients? Were these results consistent? Please provide realistic examples or estimates if exact figures are confidential.

5. Based on your experience, what monthly net profit do you realistically believe you could generate from your sourced products after 2 months and after 6 months? How would you approach achieving these results and what assumptions are your estimates based on?

6. What methods do you use to discover new wholesalers and successfully establish official wholesale accounts? Which sourcing tools or subscriptions would you need us to provide and why? Do you also have experience managing wholesale orders, purchasing and supplier deliveries?

7. Our advertised starting salary range is $400 to $800 per month for working 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. What starting monthly salary would you consider fair and what previous experience, successful wholesale account openings or measurable sourcing results justify your expectations?

8. (Optional) Do you have existing brand relationships or know any brands that might be interested in partnering with an established Amazon UK seller, either now or in the future? Please provide examples if possible. This is considered an advantage, not a requirement.

9. Why do you believe you are the right person to help take our Amazon UK business to the next level? This is your opportunity to demonstrate what makes you stand out from other applicants. We want to understand your strongest capabilities, previous achievements and the specific value you believe you could bring to our company. Explain how your experience, sourcing strategies, supplier acquisition skills and commercial knowledge could help us significantly expand our wholesale operations and increase long-term profitability. We encourage you to explain your ideas in detail where appropriate, but please remember that we value the quality and substance of your answer over its length. Specific examples, measurable achievements and practical ideas are far more valuable to us than lengthy generic statements. You are welcome to refer to achievements already mentioned in your previous answers. We want to understand not only what you have accomplished in the past, but also what you believe you could accomplish for our business and why.

WHAT WE OFFER

- Fixed starting salary of $400 to $800 per month, depending on experience, skills and demonstrated results.
- Guaranteed monthly base salary, not dependent on commissions or sales targets.
- Opportunities for salary increases and additional bonuses as your results and contributions grow.
- Long-term opportunity with an established and growing Amazon UK business.
- Potential for additional responsibilities and career progression.
- Supportive team environment and flexible remote working arrangements.
- Full-time position, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.
- Paid trial period for shortlisted candidates.

APPLICATION PROCESS

We have no problem with applicants using AI tools to prepare their applications. In fact, this job advert was written with the help of AI too!
However, your answers must reflect your own experience, knowledge and research. We value genuine expertise, practical insights and original thinking over generic AI-generated responses. Applications with nearly identical or generic answers are unlikely to be considered.
Applications will remain open for approximately 4 weeks, although we may select a suitable candidate earlier.
We will review applications as they arrive and contact promising candidates throughout the recruitment period. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
We are looking for someone who can bring genuine wholesale sourcing expertise, establish valuable supplier relationships and contribute to the long-term growth of our Amazon UK business.

ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITY FOR EXPERIENCED AMAZON MANAGERS

If you also have experience managing Amazon operations, including supplier communication, purchasing, inventory management, Seller Central administration, shipment creation and prep centre communication, please mention this in your application.
Depending on your experience and our business needs, we may consider a broader Amazon Account Manager or Operations Manager role, either immediately or in the future.

We look forward to reading your application!
