JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a highly detail-oriented Amazon Listing Specialist with 2+ years of hands-on experience creating and maintaining Amazon listings with a strong knowledge of Amazon flat files (inventory file templates) who can confidently navigate complex category requirements (including regulated attributes like UL compliance in Lighting) and push listings live accurately and consistently.

If you’re the type of person who won’t stop until the data is correct, all the applicable fields are filled in (for maximum Amazon exposure), and the listing is fully compliant, this role is for you.

What You’ll Own:

Amazon Listing Creation & Optimization (Flat File Heavy)

Build new listings using flat files, completing all applicable attributes.
Know the difference between required vs. recommended vs. optional fields and fill them appropriately.
Understand when to use Amazon Valid Values vs. when custom entries are appropriate (and how to format them correctly).
Create and maintain variation structures (parent/child), ensuring clean, logical relationships.

Category Complexity for example Compliance (Lighting & Beyond)

Handle harder categories (e.g., Lighting) with additional compliance and attribute requirements.
Accurately input certification/compliance-related attributes (e.g., UL, safety claims, etc.) per Amazon policy and category rules.
Interpret category templates and adapt to different attribute needs across multiple categories.

Troubleshooting , Seller Support Case Management

Open Amazon cases that get useful, actionable answers (not copy-paste responses).
Be persistent: escalate, reframe, and follow up until the issue is resolved and the listing is live.
Diagnose errors/warnings in flat file uploads and resolve issues efficiently.

Quality Assurance

Spot-check live listings after upload to ensure every field populated correctly (titles, bullets, attributes, variations, compliance fields, etc.).
Catch missing attributes, suppressed listings, browse node issues, mismatched valid values, and formatting errors
Ensure that ALL fields are filled in to maximize Amazon exposure and Rufus understanding of our listing

Additional Amazon Ops Tasks as applicable

Inventory updates, price updates, and Amazon-related reporting tied to listing and catalog projects.
Support ongoing catalog maintenance and data updates as the Amazon business scales.

What We’re Looking For

Required

2+ years Amazon listing experience with flat files
Strong understanding of:
Required vs. recommended fields
Valid values, attribute formatting, and template logic
Troubleshooting upload errors and feed processing results
Demonstrated ability to work through Amazon support to get real solutions.
Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and persistent.
Comfortable asking questions when stuck, and proactive about finding answers either through opening Amazon cases or internal company support
Strong excel skills to handle thousands of skus at a time – organizing, filtering, sorting data at speed
Works well independently but also part of a larger team!
