JOB OVERVIEW

JOB DESCRIPTION

A US-based company is seeking Remote Requisition Contractors based in the Philippines to source, analyze, and, when authorized, purchase used books for resale through Amazon FBA.

This is not a general VA role and not a training opportunity. This is a specialized buying and analysis engagement requiring strong attention to detail, accurate Keepa interpretation, sound purchasing judgement, and the ability to follow detailed sourcing criteria.

Contractors will help identify used books available on the Amazon marketplace that may be profitably resold through Amazon FBA. Standard purchase criteria are based on projected ROI, projected profit, and expected turnover.

CONTRACT STRUCTURE

This is an independent contractor engagement, not an employee position. Contractor is responsible for managing their own work methods, tools, hardware, internet access, taxes, and time.

The selection process is multi-stage:
- Application
- Written evaluation covering sourcing concepts, theory, and Keepa interpretation
- Onboarding
- Paid trial period
- Paid sourcing evaluation period
- Ongoing contractor engagement with potential bonus eligibility

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Source used books from the Amazon marketplace
- Interpret Keepa charts to estimate demand, price behavior, offer-count trends, and sales likelihood
- Determine whether a book meets assigned ROI, profit, and turnover objectives
- Use sourcing and analysis tools such as Keepa, BookMine, BooksRun Counterfeit Book Checker, SellerAmp, and Google Sheets
- Check current inventory before making sourcing decisions
- Log sourcing and purchase details accurately in Google Sheets
- Follow assigned sourcing objectives, spending limits, and purchase authority limits
- Maintain accurate time tracking through Jibble
- Communicate clearly through WhatsApp when needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong English reading and writing ability
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to interpret Keepa data and/or demonstrated ability to learn advanced sourcing analysis independently
- Comfortable using Google Sheets
- Reliable high-speed internet
- Computer suitable for sourcing work
- Willingness to use Jibble for time tracking
- Willingness to communicate through WhatsApp
- Willingness to submit invoices in USD and receive payment through Wise
- Valid government-issued photo ID and clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Prior experience sourcing used books for resale on Amazon
- Prior experience using Keepa Product Finder or Keepa Deals
- Prior experience with SellerAmp, BookMine, FlipMine, Zen Arbitrage, Tactical Arbitrage, or similar sourcing tools
- Understanding of Amazon FBA, used book pricing, sales rank, offer count, buy box behavior, and seasonal book demand
- Experience working in performance-based sourcing or online arbitrage roles

TOOLS AND ACCESS

- Contractors are required to use their own Keepa Premium subscription. (Subscription reimbursement is available to eligible contractors.)
- After the trial stage, contract work will take place within the company’s secure remote workspace, where relevant tools for the services are accessible.

COMPENSATION

This two-part compensation model is performance-oriented. It is designed for contractors who want to be rewarded for strong results, not only for time worked. The hourly service rate provides a base, but the larger earning opportunity is intended to come through performance-based discretionary bonuses after the conclusion of the evaluation period. Bonus potential is based on measurable sourcing results, including profitability, ROI, accuracy, productivity, and sell-through performance.

- This contract includes a base hourly service rate of $3 USD for approved billable service hours.
- Eligible contractors can qualify for performance-based discretionary bonuses that allow strong performers to substantially increase their total compensation through consistent, profitable sourcing results.
- A monthly Keepa Premium reimbursement is available to eligible contractors.
- A monthly internet allowance is available to eligible contractors.

WHO SHOULD APPLY

Apply if you are analytical, careful, self-directed, and serious about becoming highly effective at profitable Amazon used book sourcing.

Do not apply if you are looking for basic VA work, general admin work, or a role where the company provides all training from scratch. Contractors are expected to take responsibility for maintaining and improving the skills needed to provide high-quality sourcing services.
