JOB OVERVIEW

Regulatory & Legal Compliance

Conduct in-depth research on FDA, EPA, FTC, and other relevant federal and state regulations.
Ensure compliance with international product safety standards (EU, UK, Canada, Asia-Pacific) when applicable.
Perform ongoing monitoring of regulatory updates and interpret implications for product categories.
Support intellectual property due diligence to prevent patent, copyright, or trademark infringement.

Risk Management & Product Compliance

Evaluate new and existing products for compliance risks and advise stakeholders on mitigation strategies.
Develop compliance testing protocols and coordinate with third-party labs and certification agencies.
Manage corrective actions, recalls, or withdrawals in alignment with Amazon’s policies and legal requirements.
Conduct audits of product listings and seller submissions to prevent unlawful or restricted product selection.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Product Development, Supply Chain, and Seller Performance teams to execute compliance initiatives.
Provide clear guidance to vendors, suppliers, and internal teams on compliance requirements.
Train cross-functional stakeholders on compliance best practices and emerging regulatory risks.
Act as a subject matter expert to business teams during product launches, regulatory reviews, and inspections.

Policy & Process Development

Draft and implement compliance procedures, standard operating protocols (SOPs), and escalation processes.
Support automation and system-based compliance controls to scale monitoring and enforcement.
Contribute to internal policy development regarding restricted products, product claims, and safety certifications.
Continuously improve workflows to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of compliance assessments, approvals, and regulatory correspondence.
Prepare detailed reports and risk assessments for leadership review.
Provide supervisors with regular feedback on task progress, emerging risks, and resolution status.
Ensure confidentiality of sensitive data, supplier information, and Amazon business strategy.


Experience interacting directly with regulators including federal and state agencies
Experience in research and analyzing federal and state regulations
Familiarity and experience in dealing with FDA regulation is REQUIRED
Familiarity with international compliance frameworks (REACH, RoHS, CE marking).
Experience in compliance auditing, regulatory affairs, or legal review.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with global teams and regulators.
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strict deadline
