Happy on Web is a Dutch e-commerce company selling consumer electronics accessories (e-bike batteries and chargers, audio, adapters, smart home) on ---------- , Amazon, eBay, Kaufland and French marketplaces. 1,400+ products, growing fast.

## The job

Every marketplace has its own rules for product pages: which images are allowed, which fields are required, how categories, EANs and product data must be filled, which words and claims are not allowed. The rules change, and we add new products every week. Your job is to make sure every product we sell meets those rules — now, and every time something changes.

Concretely:

- You work through our full catalog product by product, using a written checklist we give you, and record per product what you checked and what you found.
- You check images (logos, certification marks, packaging claims, image requirements), category and product type, EAN/GS1 data, required fields (product safety data, manufacturer information), and listing text.
- Our listing text is in Dutch, German and French. You run it through a translation tool and screen it against a list of flag words and patterns we give you. If anything matches, you flag it and paste the original sentence.
- Where the checklist tells you what the correct value is (wrong or missing fields, category, EAN data, image requirements), you fix it yourself — and you log every change in a before/after column in Google Sheets, so every edit you make can be traced and checked.
- Text is different. You don't rewrite titles, descriptions or specifications in Dutch, German or French. If text violates a rule, you flag it with the original sentence, and a colleague who reads the language d ---------- and writes the fix. You never guess what a product spec should be.
- You do notice patterns. If the same field is missing on forty products in a row, if a flag word catches everything, if the checklist doesn't cover something you keep running into: you write it down and send it to us as a suggestion. Separately from your tracker, and without changing how you work until we say so.
- Once the full catalog is done, the work continues: new products before they go live, re-checks when a marketplace changes its rules, and later the same for our other marketplaces.
- Second phase, once the audit routine runs: you also handle the follow-up with the marketplaces. That means opening seller support cases (rejected images, EAN conflicts, wrong category, blocked or suppressed listings, policy questions) using our templates, tracking them, and answering the marketplace's replies. This is seller-side case work with ---------- and Amazon, not buyer-facing customer service.

Output: one tracker row per product. Every row has a source (screenshot, field name, URL, exact sentence). "None" or "looks fine" is not a valid entry. If you checked something and found nothing, you write down what you checked.

This is repetitive, precise work at around 40 products per day. If you get bored by checklists, this is not your job. If you like a list that gets shorter every day and a tracker that is always correct, it is.

## What we need from you

- Experience working in a marketplace seller back-end (Amazon Seller Central, ---------- , eBay or similar) on the product data side: listings, catalog, product fields. Not customer service, not ads.
- Spreadsheet discipline: you can work through thousands of rows without skipping one, and your tracker is readable by someone who has never seen it.
- You follow a checklist exactly. When the checklist doesn't cover a case, you don't guess: you flag it and ask.
- You think while you work. You see when the same problem keeps coming back, and you tell us what you think is behind it. We want those suggestions; we don't want you acting on them on your own.
- You can work with text in a language you don't read using translation tools, and you say so when a translation is not good enough to judge.
- Clear written English. We work asynchronously; almost all communication is written.

Not needed: Dutch, design skills, PPC, ---------- experience specifically.

## Who this job is not for

Please don't apply if you are mainly a:

- Graphic designer or product image designer. There is no design in this job.
- PPC / Amazon Ads specialist. We don't run ads in-house.
- Amazon growth, brand or marketplace manager. Nobody manages anything here; you check products against a list.
- General VA (admin, email, social media, appointment setting). We select on marketplace product data experience, not on being flexible.
- Buyer-facing customer service (answering customers, returns, chat support). Note the difference: seller support cases with ---------- or Amazon about listing and policy issues are part of this job, and experience with those is a plus. Answering buyers is not.

If your profile is a mix of many of the above, you will not be selected. We want someone who has done product data work in a marketplace back-end and likes doing it precisely.

## What we select on

Only these four things, in this order:

1. Hands-on experience in a marketplace seller back-end on the product data side (listings, catalog, product fields). Show it with specifics, not with a tool list.
2. Proof that you can do large repetitive data work accurately (your answer to point 2 below).
3. Written English: clear, short, answers the question asked.
4. Whether you followed the application instructions exactly.

We select on depth, not on numbers: one platform where you really did the product data work beats five platforms you touched. Years on a resume, certificates and tool lists don't tell us that — your specifics do.

A plus, not a requirement: you have opened and followed up seller support cases with Amazon or ---------- about listing or policy issues (suppressed listings, image rejections, EAN or category problems). If you have, tell us in point 4 below.

## What we offer

- $650/month, full-time (40 hours), fixed monthly rate paid via Wise

- Written SOPs and a checklist. You are not expected to know the rules by heart; you are expected to apply the checklist exactly and to tell us when it doesn't cover a case.

## How to apply
