Looking for someone to take over the Album Designing workflow in my photography studio. I have a Retoucher and a Production VA who helps oversee the "back end" of things, but I need someone PROFICIENT in Fundy Album Designer Version 10 who has an EYE for design and layout.
I simply do not have the time to do them myself, and I have found that training someone how to "see" how images go together, what a well balanced layout looks like, how to use eye lines, margins, and negative space in an impactful way, is just something that someone either HAS or DOESN'T HAVE.
If you have a knack for design, are good at designing wedding albums, and know how to use Fundy Version 10, then keep reading.
Need design styles that look like this:
WEDDINGS:
•
•
FAMILY
•
PROPOSAL
•
Need you to be fast with turnarounds, available to receive notifications when they come in, reliable and able to get things back when you say you will, and have an eye for detail, and if I asked you to, you could do your first design.....like....tomorrow
Notice that these have overlays, drop shadows, opacity adjustments, strokes, and separate image blocks that aren't codependent. In other words: If all you know how to do is press the "Layouts" button and cycle through what Fundy gives you by default, please don't respond. I have wonderful VA's who can be taught how to do that. No, I'm posting here because I want someone who is creative and can arrange images beautifully together and tell a story with the design. It should be both beautiful and functional.
MUST HAVES
- Must have a portfolio of designs to show off your style - the more similar your style of designs to mine, the more likely you'll be a fit. I really don't have the time or energy to train someone to "see" my style. Need someone who can replicate the aesthetic.
- Again, MUST be able to use Fundy Designer. You can log in with my Version 10 account, that's not the issue, but I want the finished deliverable to be the ".fsd" file and the exported spreads.
- Must be communicative, reliable, and able to work on deadlines
- Must know how to use Dropbox to send files back and forth
- Must be willing to create a Clickup login as that is where the rest of the team shares info back and forth and how notes and adjustments will be communicated. You'll be in the same job cards as the retoucher and my assistant while they do their part.
I also do not just want "an order taker". I want a proactive person who even with minimal information can glean what you need in order to do a fabulous job.
When responding, please answer the following:
1. Verify that you use, know how to use, are proficient at, and comfortable with, using Fundy Album Designer. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY if your answer is "No but I'm a fast learner". This is not the role for on-the-job training. Seeking FUNDY designers ONLY.
2. What's your typical turnaround for a small (20'ish images), medium (50'ish images) and large (
3. If I want a specific image to be a full spread edge to edge across two pages, but a critical piece of the image was being cut through by the center seam, and I was not willing to let the image be pulled in from the edge, how would you solve that problem?
4. If I have a photo already designated as "Background Image" on a spread, but there's a foreground image over some white/blank space that I want filled in with a low-opacity detail shot behind it, how would you make that possible?
What are your typical working hours that you're online and available? How responsive are you to notifications in that time?
I will only respond to messages from people who can explicitly demonstrate through either screenshots, a Loom video, or their answers to the above questions, their familiarity and proficiency in Fundy.
I also will further only respond to people who show me a portfolio that has a design style that is going to match the aesthetic of what we already do.
