Purpose of the Role
The Administrative & Operations Support Officer plays a vital role in supporting MRL Global’s day-to-day transport and 3PL operations. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate data management, timely POD and tracking updates, supplier follow-ups, and high-quality customer communication. The role provides essential operational and administrative support to the national operations team, helping maintain service accuracy, workflow efficiency, and strong communication between customers, carriers, and internal departments.
The ideal candidate is detail-focused, organised, and tech-savvy, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and deliver consistent, professional support to operations, customer service, and senior management within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Tracking
• Update POD (Proof of Delivery) information accurately and promptly.
• Conduct daily track-and-trace activities for all consignments.
• Review and validate consignment data for accuracy and compliance.
• Follow up with carriers, suppliers, and partners for shipment updates and missing documents.
• Provide real-time updates in internal systems and escalate exceptions where required.
Data Management & Administration
• Maintain and update operational spreadsheets, and records online.
• Perform general data entry with a high level of accuracy.
• Prepare and edit documents using Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF tools.
• Conduct basic image/photo editing for documentation updates.
• Prepare weekly performance reports for the Supervisor.
Customer Service Support
• Provide professional customer service via phone and
• Respond to customer enquiries regarding deliveries, PODs, and shipment statuses.
• Assist with issue resolution and escalate complex matters as needed.

Skills & Requirements
Essential
• Experience in Australian pallet and parcel freight is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong English skills — excellent verbal and written communication.
• Analytical thinking and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Reliable, organised, and able to follow structured processes.
• Basic photo/image editing capability for minor corrections or documentation.
Preferred
• International freight experience (air and sea) is highly preferred.
• Experience in transport, logistics, or customer service roles.
• Familiarity with POD workflows, TMS/WMS systems, or carrier portals.
