Event Marketing & Studio Admin Coordinator (Full-Time)
Location: Arthur Murray Dance Studio Ajax
299 Kingston Rd E, Ajax, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Start Date: Immediate
Primary Event: Dancing with the Durham Stars Charity Gala — May 9
Marketing Term: Immediate through June 9 (includes 1 month post-event content)
About the Role
We are hiring a full-time Event Marketing & Studio Admin Coordinator to support marketing for our upcoming charity gala while managing key administrative systems that keep the studio running smoothly.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, confident with social media, and comfortable managing follow-ups, communication, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Event Marketing & Promotion
• Plan and execute event marketing campaigns and announcements
• Manage a content calendar from hire date through June 9
• Post regularly on Instagram and
• Create simple promotional graphics and content
• Send
• Conduct local outreach to businesses, community groups, and media
• Publish post-event content for one month following the event
Studio Administration
Daily
• Confirm scheduled introductory lessons before the studio opens
• Follow up on unpaid invoices and payments
• Identify students without future appointments and assist with scheduling
• Complete daily receipt and payment audits
Weekly
• Send invoices to students with upcoming payments
• Contact active students who are not currently booked
• Review lesson credits and notify students of expiration timelines
Success Goals
• Sell 300 event tickets ($190 + HST)
• Secure 10 vendors
• Secure 3 corporate sponsors ($10,000 level target)
Ideal Candidate
• Strong social media skills (Instagram &
• Comfortable creating basic graphics (Canva or similar)
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Highly organized with strong follow-through
• Confident interacting with clients and community partners
Bonus: experience with events, sponsorship outreach, or local marketing.
