You will support insurance, billing, patient communication, and internal operations so the office runs smoothly.
Core Responsibilities
Insurance & Billing Support
Verifying vision insurance coverage
Sending copay and invoice
Submitting, correcting, voiding, and tracking insurance claims
Monitoring insurance payments and applying EOBs
Following up on denied or unpaid claims
Tracking insurance receivables and aging balances
Patient & Front Desk Support
Confirming upcoming appointments
Messaging patients about scheduling and rescheduling
Communicating insurance issues clearly and professionally
Sending prescription, invoice, and contact lens quote
Following up with patients when prescriptions expire
Admin & Documentation
Uploading and organizing patient files
Checking for incomplete charts and billing issues
Reminding the team of missing information
Managing fax uploads and document cleanup
Updating frame inventory and order status
Reviews & Orders
Sending review requests
Responding to patient reviews professionally
Cancelling contact lens orders when prescriptions expire
Following up with patients as needed
This role includes daily and weekly reporting.
You will be responsible for:
A daily end-of-day admin summary
A weekly operations report for leadership
Tracking KPIs related to appointments, billing, and insurance
If you do not like reporting or tracking numbers, this role is not a fit.
Requirements (Read Carefully)
Resourceful

Comfortable with repetitive admin work
Reliable internet and quiet workspace
Willing to learn healthcare workflows
Able to follow SOPs exactly
Experience with:
Medical or vision insurance (preferred, not required)
Admin, billing, or operations support
Practice management systems (a plus)
Schedule & Pay
Full-time, 40 hours/week
US Eastern Time overlap required
Long-term position
Pay based on experience
