We are an online education business building a high-velocity ad creation machine.
This role is for a video editor who understands advertising — not just editing tools, but how attention is captured, held, and converted in today’s market.
Our ideal candidate must understand:
What a hook is
Why the first 1–3 seconds matter
How visuals, pacing, text, and storytelling work together to stop the scroll
You will be editing primarily short-form video ads, along with supporting YouTube and educational content.
Core Responsibilities
- Edit short-form video ads optimized for performance (Meta, YouTube, social)
- Create strong visual hooks using pacing, framing, motion, and text
- Produce multiple variations of winning ads
- Apply storytelling principles to promotional, educational, and entertaining content
- Edit longer-form YouTube and educational videos as needed
- Deliver assets in multiple formats (9:16, 1:1, 16:9)
- Use motion graphics and text animation templates (MotionArray + provided assets)
- Manage reviews and feedback via
- Maintain a clean, efficient remote workflow
Required Skills & Experience (Non-Negotiable)
Applicants must meet all of the following:
Proven experience editing short-form video ads
Clear understanding of what makes a compelling hook
Strong storytelling instincts (pacing, escalation, payoff)
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
Working knowledge of CapCut for fast iteration
Active experience using AI tools in video production, such as:
Caption generation
B-roll generation or enhancement
Audio cleanup
Visual enhancement
Workflow acceleration
(You don’t need to use every tool — but AI must be part of your regular workflow.)
Experience working with 4K footage (Sony cinema cameras, iPhone)
Comfortable using motion graphics and text animation templates
Proficient in Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets)
Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines consistently
Additional Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
Fluency in English at a C2 (Mastery) level
You must be able to communicate clearly and confidently in spoken and written English.
This role involves nuanced feedback, storytelling, and real-time collaboration.

Availability during Pacific Time (PT) working hours
You must be available for scheduled meetings and real-time collaboration during our core working hours (Pacific Time zone).
Exact meeting cadence will be light, but availability during PT hours is required.
Candidate must not be engaged in other contract work, and be available full-time.
You must have examples of your work available to share.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
Background in creative writing or scripting
Familiarity with Meta ad performance concepts
Media buying or ad account management experience
Understanding of ad fatigue and creative testing
You will be executing within a defined ad system with clear direction and performance feedback.

Compensation
Hourly rate is flexible and based on experience.
