JOB OVERVIEW

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're a small digital media company that grows and manages niche online communities, and we're looking for a sharp deal-maker to acquire them for us. If you've flipped domains or websites, brokered digital assets, or done partnership or acquisition outreach, this is squarely in your wheelhouse. The assets here are Reddit communities — but the core job is the one you already know: find the owner, judge what the asset is worth, reach out, and close the deal. We'll get you up to speed on the Reddit-specific mechanics; we can't teach the judgment and the deal instinct, so that's what we're hiring for.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Work from a list of candidate communities you generate from our in-house software app, and d ---------- which are actually worth pursuing
• Judge each asset's real value — niche fit, engagement quality, and commercial/search potential — not just its surface numbers
• Find and reach the owner/moderator across the appropriate channels (including their public social profiles) and open the conversation
• Negotiate and close the acquisition — moderation or ownership transfer
• Handle the handoff — coordinating the transfer once a deal is struck
• Run a clean pipeline: targets, outreach, deals, and spend

WHAT WE'RE ACTUALLY HIRING FOR
Two things, in this order:
1. Judgment. Anyone can pull traffic numbers. The rare skill is looking at a community and knowing whether it's genuinely valuable and worth the money — the right niche, real search/monetization potential — without us weighing in on every call.
2. Deal-making. Cold outreach to a stranger, opening the conversation, negotiating value, and closing cleanly. This is most of the job, day to day.

Reddit familiarity is a plus, but it is NOT the requirement — the mechanics (how moderation and transfers work) are quick to learn for the right person. Don't skip applying because you're not a "Reddit person."

COMPENSATION
Competitive base salary + bonus structure

WHO YOU PROBABLY ARE
• A domain or website flipper, digital-asset broker, or someone who's done acquisition/partnership outreach and negotiation
• You have real commercial judgment — you can size up an asset's value fast and be right
• You're comfortable cold-reaching strangers and closing deals
• You're highly organized and self-directed — you own your pipeline with minimal oversight
• Clear written English
• Bonus (not required): Reddit, affiliate, or SEO experience

TO APPLY, ANSWER THESE
1. Tell me about a deal you sourced and closed — a domain, website, digital asset, partnership, whatever. How did you find it, how did you value it, and how did you close it?
2. When you're sizing up an online asset (a site, a community, a domain), what tells you it's genuinely valuable and worth paying for versus something that just looks big on the surface? Be specific.
3. You need to acquire something from an owner who isn't actively selling. Walk me through how you'd reach them and open a negotiation.
4. Your desired salary.
