JOB OVERVIEW

Accounts Receivable Specialist – Reservations & Reconciliation

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage the financial processing of new reservations, collect outstanding payments, reconcile past bookings, and prepare accurate CSV reports for our Head Accountant to support revenue recognition.

Your primary responsibility will be ensuring each reservation is accurately recorded, payments are collected and applied correctly, and booking records reconcile with payments received.

Key Responsibilities
- Process new reservations and verify booking details, rates, payment terms, and amounts due.
- Prepare invoices or payment requests, track due dates, and follow up professionally on outstanding balances.
- Accurately record and apply payments to the correct reservations.
- Reconcile completed bookings against invoices, payments, refunds, cancellations, adjustments, and platform fees.
- Investigate discrepancies, missing payments, duplicate charges, and outstanding balances.
- Prepare clean, consistent CSV reports showing booking dates, stay dates, charges, payments, refunds, fees, and balances for the Head Accountant.
- Ensure reporting follows the Head Accountant’s requirements and supports accurate revenue recognition and month-end close.
- Maintain organized supporting records and communicate unresolved issues promptly.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or payment reconciliation.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including formulas, lookups, and working with CSV files.
- High attention to detail and the ability to handle a large volume of transactions accurately.
- Clear written English and a professional approach to payment follow-ups.
- Strong organization, reliable follow-through, and the ability to work independently.
- Experience with hospitality, vacation rentals, reservation systems, or booking platforms is preferred.
