We are looking for a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and dependable Accounting professional to join our growing team.

You’ll work daily with our in-house Bookkeeper and Accounting Manager through live video meetings, managing all Accounts Payable and Receivable responsibilities for two established Utah-based companies:
~ Gemstone Development – High-End Custom Home Builder & Real Estate Developer
~ Old World Stone Imports (OWSI) – Flooring, Tile, Countertop & Design Center
Both companies are financially strong and fast-paced. We’re looking for a professional who is dependable, confident, and motivated to take ownership of their work while maintaining precision and integrity in every transaction.
What You’ll Do (Main Responsibilities)
~ including but not limited to ~
Receive and accurately enter bills into QuickBooks and Fishbowl Inventory.
Manage vendor credits and ensure all refunds or adjustments are properly applied.
File and track claims for damaged or incorrect materials.
Reconcile vendor accounts and maintain up-to-date records.
Prepare, send, and track customer invoices and ensure timely collections.
File Preliminary Notices and Full Liens for construction projects when needed.
Receive and record customer payments daily.
Communicate with vendors and customers by phone, then text, then
Participate in daily video meetings for coordination and updates.
Maintain complete confidentiality and professionalism with all company financial information.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
~ essential for success in this position ~
Strong background in Accounting (not just bookkeeping) with understanding of U.S. and Utah accounting practices and documentation standards.
Expert-level experience in QuickBooks — AP, AR, reconciliation, and reporting.
Experience using Fishbowl Inventory is highly preferred.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, and confident on phone calls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
Able to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and integrity.
Proactive, self-motivated, and reliable with strong follow-through.
Capable of working efficiently under deadlines in a structured environment.
Must use Hubstaff for time tracking during all work hours.
Stable internet connection and ability to join daily video calls.
Schedule & Work Requirements
Monday through Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Mountain Standard Time (Utah, USA)
Full-Time, 40 hours per week
100% Remote
Preferred Experience
Experience working with U.S.-based construction or design-related companies.
Familiarity with lien documentation, 1099 processing, and Utah accounting procedures.
Experience with reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end reporting.
Strong understanding of vendor management and project-based accounting.
