JOB OVERVIEW

What we are looking for:
We are a fractional CFO business consultancy firm looking for an experienced Bookkeeper and Accounting Supervisor to help us support, supervise, and manage the accounting department’s operations.

You will be asked to work in the EST time zone (New York). You should feel comfortable managing daily operations while leading a team of 3 or more bookkeepers. You will also want to be task-driven and proactive in client follow-up, enjoy organizing the calendar to stay ahead and on top of sending client reports and emails to prepare them for what is upcoming.
We would be glad to provide access to additional tools that will help you become successful in your role if necessary.
If you have experience developing budgets and forecasts and feel confident in working with the primary contact to build and keep updated, you would be an all-star.

I expect this person to be able to:
- Create budgeting reports and prepare forecasting reports
- Audit client accounts
- Review daily transactions such as accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger, and so on
- Monitor the bookkeeper's performance daily
- Take part in assisting with payroll
- Ensure that accounting and financial objectives are met and all operations are in compliance with legal regulations
- Supervise month-end and year-end closing operations
- Manage financial documentation, keeping it complete and updated
- Develop accounting policies and procedures in accordance with business targets
- Comfortable being client-facing and with excellent English communication skills

This role would value someone who understands SaaS forecasting and is flexible with tools.
