The Opportunity
We are looking for a Accounting Systems Lead to support accounting system implementation and financial data migration projects for US-based companies.
This role is ideal for a strong accountant who has hands-on experience with reconciliations, US GAAP, month-end close, and financial reporting — and is excited to apply that expertise to ERP implementation and migration work.
You will help ensure that historical financial data is accurately extracted, cleaned, mapped, uploaded, validated, and reconciled as companies move from legacy accounting systems into a modern ERP platform.
What You’ll Do
• Support ERP implementation and accounting system migration projects from an accounting perspective
• Extract historical financial data from systems such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Xero, Sage, and similar platforms
• Clean, organize, and map financial data to the new general ledger, chart of accounts, entity, and reporting structure
• Prepare and validate journal entries, trial balances, opening balances, and historical transaction uploads
• Map accounts, vendors, customers, departments, classes, locations, entities, and reporting fields
• Upload and validate bills, invoices, contracts, and supporting accounting schedules
• Perform detailed reconciliations between legacy accounting systems and the new ERP
• Reconcile cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, deferred revenue, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other key accounts
• Compare source-system closing balances against opening balances in the new system
• Identify, investigate, and resolve financial discrepancies before go-live
• Ensure migrated data is accurate, complete, compliant, and aligned with US GAAP
• Collaborate with internal implementation teams and US-based finance stakeholders
• Communicate reconciliation findings, migration issues, risks, and blockers clearly
• Document migration steps, accounting decisions, and reconciliation procedures
• Support post-go-live validation, cleanup, and stabilization when required
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience
• 7+ years of hands-on accounting experience
• 1+ years of US GAAP experience
• Strong hands-on accounting experience across GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Experience supporting ERP implementation, accounting system migration, financial data migration, or finance transformation projects
• Experience working with US-based companies, clients, or accounting teams
• Strong reconciliation experience, especially with high-volume financial data
• Strong understanding of US GAAP principles, standards, and accounting processes
• Experience ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance across accounting workflows or migration projects
• Proficiency in at least one accounting system such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Xero, Sage, or a comparable ERP
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Comfortable working directly with US-based clients and finance stakeholders
• Strong ownership, project coordination, and follow-through skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Strongly Preferred
• Direct ERP implementation or accounting system migration experience
• Experience transitioning financial data from one accounting platform to another
• Hands-on experience with data extraction, mapping, cleanup, validation, and reconciliation
• Background in a CPA firm, bookkeeping firm, outsourced accounting company, SaaS company, or ERP implementation environment
• Experience with large transaction volumes or multi-entity accounting
• Familiarity with SaaS accounting concepts such as ASC 606, deferred revenue, ARR, MRR, and revenue waterfalls
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or equivalent accounting certification
Who Will Thrive in This Role
• You are a strong accountant who enjoys going deeper than routine close work.
• You care about whether the numbers are accurate, explainable, and reliable. When balances do not tie, you investigate the issue, trace the data, and help resolve discrepancies before they become bigger problems.
• You are comfortable working with complex financial data, imperfect historical records, and fast-moving implementation timelines. You bring strong accounting judgment, attention to detail, and clear communication to every project.
