Lead Accounting Technician (Remote)

Schedule: Full-Time Remote
• November – March: 5 days per week
• April – October: 6 days per week (peak season)
• Must be available during U.S. Central Time business hours

Property Squad – Property maintenance and repair services

Position Overview
The Lead Accounting Technician is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple companies. This role oversees accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, payroll preparation, expense management, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in working with accounting systems such as QuickBooks and Xero.
This position plays an important role in helping leadership maintain accurate financial records, reliable reporting, and organized financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
Prepare and send invoices to customers
Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on collections
Record incoming payments and reconcile deposits
Maintain accurate billing records
Accounts Payable
Review and process vendor invoices
Schedule payments to vendors and contractors
Maintain accurate vendor records
Reconcile vendor accounts
Payroll Preparation
Prepare payroll data and reports for processing
Track contractor and employee payment information
Maintain payroll records and documentation
Expense Management
Track and categorize company expenses
Reconcile bank accounts and company credit cards
Maintain accurate expense documentation and receipts
Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly financial reports
Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability across companies
Assist leadership with financial insights and reporting
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Technology & Software
Applicants should have experience with:
QuickBooks
Xero
Google Sheets / Excel
Financial reporting tools
Digital document management
Experience working with multiple companies or entities is strongly preferred.
Required Skills
Strong accounting and bookkeeping knowledge
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage financial data across multiple companies

Ability to analyze financial reports
Strong written and verbal English communication
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Reliable internet connection and professional workspace
Preferred Experience
3+ years accounting or bookkeeping experience
Experience supporting U.S.-based companies
Experience working with service-based businesses
Multi-company bookkeeping experience
