JOB OVERVIEW

Accounting Manager

As our Accounting Manager, you’ll lead client engagements, manage junior staff, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of services. This is a hands-on role — from overseeing regular accounting functions to jumping into cleanup, catch-up, and system migrations when needed. You’ll balance strategic thinking with detailed execution.
Responsibilities:
Own and manage full-cycle accounting for multiple clients
Lead and execute cleanup and catch-up projects to bring client books up to date
Manage system migrations (e.g., from Xero to QuickBooks Online), including setup, mapping, and reconciliation
Review financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries prepared by junior staff
Serve as primary client contact for accounting needs and deliverables
Maintain strong internal controls, checklists, and deadlines across accounts
Train, support, and review work from junior accountants
Collaborate with leadership on process improvements and client success
Perform ad hoc work as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA is a plus
2+ years of accounting experience, including client-facing or multi-entity management
Strong experience with cleanup work, catch-up accounting, and system transitions
Advanced QuickBooks Online skills; experience with tools like Gusto, RAMP, Xero, or similar platforms
Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing shifting priorities
Excellent communicator — written, verbal, and across time zones
Comfortable working independently in a fully remote team environment
Work Terms:
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Schedule: EST Business Hours
Compensation: $1500.00/month
