Company Overview
Nova Underground LLC is a leading underground utility contractor specializing in telecommunications infrastructure. The company operates across multiple states and is known for delivering high-quality, efficient, and safe underground construction services. Nova is in a strong growth phase and is seeking to bring on an experienced Accounting Controller to step into a key role and drive financial stability and accuracy.

Position Summary
The Accounting Controller will oversee the financial operations of the company, ensure compliance with accounting standards, manage the accounting team, and provide critical financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions. This position is replacing a current tea ---------- mber and is essential to improving financial processes and reporting as the company continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all accounting operations: AR/AP, general ledger, job costing, and payroll

Oversee accurate and timely invoicing, billing, and collections

Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes

Prepare and analyze internal financial reports and statements

Maintain internal controls, financial policies, and compliance standards

Collaborate with external CPA for tax filings, audits, and compliance

Monitor and improve cash flow and project profitability

Supervise and develop finance tea ---------- mbers (both onshore and offshore)

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)

5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in construction or project-based industries

Strong experience with QuickBooks Online, Excel, and financial reporting tools

Knowledge of job costing, subcontractor payments, and retainage tracking

Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

Able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced remote environment
