We are a well-established California-based real estate development and property management company with more than 30 years in business. We develop, own, and manage our own portfolio of multifamily apartment communities.

As our company continues to grow, we are looking for reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented accounting professionals to join our virtual accounting team.

We have opportunities at several experience levels—from Accounting Clerks and Accounting Assistants to experienced Accountants, Senior Accountants, and CPAs.

Positions Available

We are interested in candidates at several experience levels, including:

Accounting Clerks / Accounting Assistants
Bookkeepers

Your position, responsibilities, and compensation will depend upon your accounting knowledge, professional experience, skills, and qualifications.

There are opportunities to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibilities as you become familiar with our company and our real estate portfolio.

What You May Be Doing

Responsibilities will vary depending on your experience and position and may include:

Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Entering and coding invoices and expenses
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Reviewing property-level income and expenses
Maintaining accurate accounting records for multiple properties and entities
General ledger accounting
Assisting with monthly financial reporting and month-end closing
Preparing and reviewing financial statements
Identifying and researching accounting discrepancies
Tracking vendor invoices and payments
Maintaining organized electronic accounting records and supporting documentation
Preparing reports and Excel spreadsheets for management
Assisting with multifamily property management accounting
Assisting with real estate development accounting
Working with multiple companies, properties, and legal entities
Working closely with our U.S. accounting and management teams
Working collaboratively with our Filipino virtual team members
Other accounting and administrative responsibilities appropriate to your experience level
What We're Looking For
Required for All Positions
College degree in Accounting
Strong understanding of accounting principles
Excellent written and spoken English
Strong computer skills
Good Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Dependable and able to meet deadlines
Ability to manage daily responsibilities without constant supervision
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
Honest and professional
A genuine team player
Fast and reliable internet connection
Interest in a stable, long-term position

Experience with multifamily real estate, property management, or real estate development accounting is a plus, but it is not required.

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus

While not required, we are especially interested in candidates who also have:

Multifamily or property management accounting experience
Real estate development accounting experience
Advanced accounting education or certifications
CPA or similar professional credentials
Experience working with multiple properties and business entities
Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
Experience with accounting or property management software
A law degree or additional legal education
Experience with contracts, corporate matters, real estate transactions, compliance, or other business-related legal work

A law degree is not required, and this is not a position requiring the practice of U.S. law.

However, because our business involves real estate development, property management, contracts, transactions, and multiple business entities, we consider legal education or relevant legal experience to be a valuable additional qualification.

If you have a strong accounting background combined with legal education or experience, we would especially welcome your application.

One Full-Time Job Only

This is an important requirement of the position.

We understand that some virtual professionals work for multiple companies at the same time. For our company, however, full-time team members are required to work exclusively for our company and may not hold another job at the same time.

We want our team members to be fully focused on their responsibilities during working hours. At the same time, we believe it is important for people to have time away from work for themselves, their families, and their personal lives.

If you currently have another job, you are still very welcome to apply. However, if selected, you must be prepared to leave your other employment before beginning your full-time position with us.
