Employment Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5:00?pm (UK Time)
Holiday: 20 days per annum (increasing to 28 days after 3 years)
Probation Period: 6 months

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Accountant to manage the financial operations of the business. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and efficient financial processes that support the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities – Finance Focus

* Manage day-to-day accounting, cash flow and bookkeeping activities
* Prepare and issue invoices, monitor receivables, and follow up on outstanding payments
* Process supplier payments, employee expense claims, and other financial transactions
* Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and documentation
* Perform monthly bank reconciliations
* Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and daily/weekly financial reports
* Monitor cash flow, expenditures, and overall financial performance
* Support preparation of financial summaries for leadership review
* Maintain records for UK tax, audit, and UK compliance purposes
* Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial advisors as needed
* Ensure financial controls, compliance, and accounting best practices are maintained

Requirements

Essential:

* Must have strong English in speaking and writing
* Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* Previous experience in accounting, finance, or financial administration
* Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
* Experience using accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or similar)
* Ability to manage multiple finance responsibilities independently

Preferred:

* Experience supporting financial reporting in a small, growing, or entrepreneurial business
