JOB OVERVIEW

ABOUT US

We're an established luxury watch reseller, and we're now branching into fine jewelry - engagement rings, bridal sets, custom pieces, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and more.

The brand already has a defined visual identity. We know exactly how our work should look and feel, and it's distinctive. What we're doing now is translating that identity into AI video - and this role owns that translation.

WHAT YOU'D BE MAKING

Short-form video ads - roughly 10 to 15 seconds, vertical, built from AI generation and our own 3D product renders. Meta is where we're starting, but these will run anywhere short-form video lives.

These have to read like million-dollar ads. That's the bar, and it's not negotiable. Our brand is dark, dramatic, and larger-than-life - ethereal and cinematic, not a model smiling in a sunlit kitchen. Extreme macro. Dramatic off-angles. Shallow depth of field. Constant motion. Objects floating rather than sitting on a table. Nothing static, nothing level, nothing that looks like every other jewelry ad you've scrolled past.

If it looks amateur, or if it looks like AI, it doesn't ship. We would rather publish nothing than publish something mediocre.

WHAT ACTUALLY MATTERS FOR THIS ROLE

Your creative eye comes first. Technical tool knowledge comes second.

We can teach anyone which buttons to press. We can't teach taste. We're looking for someone who understands composition, light, pacing, and tension - who knows why a shot holds attention and why the next one loses it. If your background is in editing, cinematography, motion design, or film and you've since moved into AI tools, that's exactly the profile.

Sound is half the ad. Music, sound design, the hit on a cut, the texture under a slow push - these are not an afterthought we'll add later. If you treat audio as part of the craft, say so and show us.

THE HARD PART - READ THIS CLOSELY

We want to be upfront about the real challenge, because it's where our own attempts hit a wall.

Moving a camera around a specific real piece of jewelry without the model inventing geometry. We have exact renders of our rings. The ring in the finished video has to be that ring - same setting, same stone count, same proportions - through the entire shot. The moment the model starts filling in gaps, prongs multiply, the band warps, and the piece becomes something we don't actually sell.

If you've solved this before, tell us how. That's the skill we're hiring for.

WHAT YOU'D WORK WITH

- Higgsfield (company account, credits provided) - Seedance 2.5 and the other models on the platform
- Krea for upscaling
- Our library of 3D product renders and reference imagery
- A written production brief with brand direction, shot language, and references

Experience with Runway, Veo 3, Flow, Genjutsu, OpenArt or similar all counts. We care about the result, not which tool got you there.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- A reel that doesn't look AI-generated. Your work is the application.
- A real creative eye. You can explain why a shot works, not just that it looks cool.
- Ideally: luxury goods experience. If you've made marketing video for jewelry, watches, or another high-end product category, that's a significant advantage. Luxury has its own visual grammar and you either have it or you're learning it on our dime.
- Sound design instincts. Music choice, audio texture, cut timing.
- Cost discipline. You test at low resolution and low quality, then upscale only the keepers.
- Speed. If a concept isn't landing, we pivot in a day, not a week.
- Clear written English. Most communication is over Slack.

HOW TO APPLY

Send:

1. Your reel or portfolio - direct links. Call out the AI-generated work specifically and tell us which tools made which shots.
2. Your single best product-focused piece. One object, shot beautifully, beats a montage of everything you've ever made.
3. Any luxury or high-end brand work, if you have it.
4. Two or three sentences on how you keep a specific product consistent across a moving shot.

Start your reply with the word STARFORGE so we know you read the whole post.

OUR PROCESS

- We shortlist from reels.
- Shortlisted applicants get a paid test project - the same folder of renders for one ring, the same brief, 10 seconds. Everyone works from identical material so we can compare fairly. We pay for your time whether or not we hire you.
- Strongest result gets the role.

This is a long-term position. We're building the entire jewelry marketing operation and we want one person who owns video, understands the brand, and gets better at it over time - not someone who delivers three clips and moves on. If the work is outstanding, there's room to grow with us.
