About the Role

Epic Success is looking for an AI Systems & Automation Architect to help redesign how our business operates.

We’re looking for someone who can understand how a business process works, identify what should change, and use automation and AI to build a better way.

You’ll look across our business and continually ask:

* What should disappear?
* What should be automated?
* What should AI handle?
* What still requires human judgment?

Then you’ll build it.

What You’ll Do

* Understand existing business processes before automating them.
* Identify bottlenecks, repetitive work, unnecessary steps, and automation opportunities.
* Redesign workflows to make them simpler, faster, and more reliable.
* Build and maintain workflows using n8n, APIs, webhooks, AI agents, and other tools.
* Connect systems and move data reliably between platforms.
* Build AI workflows and agents where they create meaningful leverage.
* Design appropriate human-in-the-loop workflows.
* Build error handling, monitoring, and testing into automations.
* Use sound practices for credentials, permissions, and service accounts.
* Document what you build so systems are understandable and maintainable.
* Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve the systems you build and inherit.

The goal isn’t more automation. It’s better systems and better ways of working.

Experience We’re Looking For

You should have meaningful hands-on experience with:

* n8n
* AI agents and LLM-based workflows
* APIs and webhooks
* Connecting and transforming data across systems
* Designing workflows around real business processes
* Testing, monitoring, and maintaining production automations

You do not need to know every platform we use.

We care more about your ability to understand a business problem, think through the process, and build a reliable solution than whether you’ve used every tool in our stack.

Our Current Environment

Our systems include:

* Zapier
* Typeform
* Zoom
* Fireflies
* Google Workspace / Google Drive
* Dropbox
* Stripe

Some systems are already connected and automated. Others need improvement, consolidation, or redesign.

You’ll inherit what exists, understand it, and help us build what should exist next.

The Working Relationship

This is a full-time, ongoing independent-contractor role.

You’ll take ownership of the systems you build and inherit. That means monitoring them, maintaining them, solving problems when something breaks, continually improving them, and identifying new opportunities to make the business work better.

We care about ownership, judgment, and results. You should have reasonable availability for meetings during U.S. Central Time business hours.
