We're building a custom operating system for pest control companies, and we're looking for an exceptional product engineer who can help us build and ship it FAST.
This is not a traditional developer role where you'll receive perfectly written tickets and detailed technical specifications.
You'll often be given:
- The business problem
- The outcome we need
- Existing product context
- Screenshots/mockups/examples
- Customer feedback
- Access to the current codebase and data
Your job is to figure out the best way to build it and take it all the way from idea → working production feature.
We're looking for someone who combines strong full-stack development ability with excellent product judgment and uses modern AI development tools to move extremely fast.
If you're the type of developer who can be told: "Here's the problem. Here's what the user needs to be able to do. Figure out how to build it."
…and then come back with a working product, keep reading.
What We're Building
PestLaunch helps pest control companies grow, improve profitability and build better operations.
We're building our own SaaS platform that becomes the operating system for these businesses.
The platform includes things like:
- Executive business dashboards
- CRM integrations
- Sales and lead pipelines
- Call tracking, recordings and transcripts
- AI call classification and scoring
- AI coaching
- Financial / QuickBooks integrations
- KPI and scorecard tracking
- Customer health
- Business diagnostics
- AI recommendations
- Tasks and notifications
- Campaign tracking
- Client implementation workflows
- Training portals
- Search
- Forms
- Internal/client communication
- Reporting and analytics
Our goal is to move extremely quickly and turn this into a product our clients use every day.
What You'll Own
You'll personally build and ship major parts of the product.
Depending on your strengths, that may include:
- Building complete product features from concept to production
- Front-end and back-end development
- Database architecture
- Dashboards and reporting
- API integrations
- CRM integrations
- AI features and workflows
- Authentication and permissions
- Search
- Notifications
- Data processing and normalization
- Internal admin tools
- Debugging and performance improvements
- Testing and QA
- Deployment
You'll work directly with the founder/product owner and another developer.
Individual features will have clear ownership so you can move quickly without waiting for someone to tell you every step.
What We're Looking For
You should have strong evidence that you've personally built real software products.
Ideally, you have experience with:
- Full-stack SaaS development
- React / Next.js or similar modern frameworks
- Databases such as PostgreSQL / Supabase
- APIs, webhooks and third-party integrations
- Authentication and permissions
- SaaS dashboards and reporting
- AI APIs / LLM integrations
- Modern deployment platforms such as Vercel
- Git / GitHub
- Building production software from scratch
Experience with tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or similar AI coding tools is strongly preferred.
Experience building CRM, ERP, field-service, home-service, business operations or vertical SaaS products is a major plus.
Experience integrating platforms such as QuickBooks, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Jobber, FieldRoutes, PestPac, GorillaDesk, GoHighLevel or similar systems is also a major plus.
The Person We're Looking For
We're NOT looking for someone who needs every feature broken into detailed development tickets.
We're looking for someone who:
- Figures things out
- Moves extremely fast
- Has strong product judgment
- Can understand business workflows, not just code
- Keeps solutions simple when simple works
- Uses AI aggressively to increase development speed
- Can learn unfamiliar APIs/software quickly
- Tests their own work
- Cares about data accuracy
- Notices edge cases
- Communicates blockers quickly
- Finishes what they start
- Can independently own a feature from idea through production
How to Apply
Please send a 5–7 minute Loom video answering the following.
1. Show us the best SaaS/product you've personally built.
Actually open the product and show it working. Do not just show screenshots or slides.
2. Tell us exactly what YOU built.
What did you personally architect, design and code?
What was built by other developers?
3. Explain the technical architecture.
Briefly show us:
- Front end
- Back end
- Database
- APIs/integrations
- Hosting/deployment
Keep this high level.
4. Show us something you've built using AI coding tools.
Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or similar.
Tell us approximately how long it took you to build.
5. Show us an example where you were given a BUSINESS PROBLEM rather than detailed technical specifications.
What were you told?
How did you d
What did you personally build?
What was the result?
6. Tell us how you would approach this role.
You're joining an existing SaaS product with an existing developer and a large roadmap.
Your goal is to dramatically increase how quickly we ship high-quality features.
How would you approach your first 30 days?
Important: We care much more about seeing real things you've personally shipped than hearing polished answers about software development.
If you cannot show us a real product you've personally built, this probably isn't the right role.
