Turning complex ideas into visuals that teach
Company: Hyperadaptive Solutions
Type: Contract / part-time — approx. 8-10, with room to grow
Rate: Negotiable
Reports to: Melissa Reeve, Founder & best-selling author
Overview
I'm looking for someone with exceptional taste and exceptional AI skills to turn complex ideas into visuals that make people get it — infographics, diagrams, and short motion/animated pieces that become reusable teaching assets across my talks, workshops, and social media channels.
About the work
Hyperadaptive helps enterprises rewire themselves to become AI-native. The ideas are genuinely complex — how organizations shift from friction-based hierarchies to flow-based systems, how AI and humans create bidirectional learning loops. My job is to make those ideas land. Your job is to help me make them unforgettable, in both static graphics and short motion pieces.
This isn't a "make my slides prettier" role. You'll be building a library of teaching assets — visuals and short animations I'll use again and again in keynotes, workshops, the book, and online. Consistency, clarity, and a distinctive visual voice matter more than volume.
What you'll do
Take a concept — sometimes a rough sketch fro
Produce polished infographics, conceptual diagrams, and "consulting-grade" explanatory graphics (think the clarity of a great McKinsey exhibit, with more soul).
Create short motion and animated pieces that bring a concept to life (e.g., friction vs. flow, a learning flywheel in motion) — this is a regular part of the work, not an occasional extra.
Build and maintain a consistent visual system — a recognizable Hyperadaptive look and motion style that ties every asset together.
Iterate fast, take direction well, and push back with better ideas when you have them.
Who you are
Exceptional visual taste, with real motion/animation chops. Your portfolio makes me stop scrolling, and includes moving work, not just static graphics.
AI-native, with craft. You use tools like Midjourney, Firefly, Runway, Sora, Figma, Canva, and other AI design/motion tools fluently — but as an artist uses a brush, not as a shortcut to generic output. You can tell me why the mediocre version is mediocre.
An information designer at heart. You can take something abstract and complicated and make it simple without making it dumb. This is the core skill — graphics and motion are both in service of it.
Self-directed and reliable. You manage your own time, hit deadlines, and communicate clearly in English. This is a solo founder's shop — I need a partner, not a project I have to manage.
Bonus: experience visualizing business, tech, or organizational-change concepts; a background in editorial/data visualization; comfort with short-form explainer video for social/keynote use.
What this is not
A general virtual assistant role. I'm not looking for inbox management or scheduling — I'm looking for a specific, high-craft creative skill spanning graphics and motion.
How to apply
Please send:
Your portfolio — especially anything where you made a complex or abstract idea clear, including at least one motion/animated piece
A short note on which AI tools you actually use (for both static and motion work), and how you use them to get to exceptional rather than generic.
One example of a visual or motion piece you've seen recently that you think is genuinely great — and one sentence on why.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a short paid test project (about [1–2 hours], paid at your rate): I'll give you one real Hyperadaptive concept and a rough brief, and ask you to turn it into a single polished visual or short motion piece.
