What This Role Actually Looks Like
You own
Building and optimising the full flow architecture — welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, winback, browse abandonment, sunset, VIP, and more
Planning and executing the campaign calendar — weekly/monthly sends tied to promotions, launches, and seasonal
Driving list growth through popup strategy, lead magnets, quiz funnels, and opt-in optimisation
Designing and writing every
Building smart segments to increase relevance, boost engagement, and reduce unsubscribes
Working with the creative team to conceptualise new ad angles, scripts, and creative directions
Reporting on
Supporting ad copy and landing page copy as a secondary responsibility
Who You Are
2–5+ years hands-on in DTC
You deploy agentic AI at a deep level — building AI workflows with rich context about your products, customer segments, purchase behaviour, and brand voice. Not just asking an LLM to "rewrite this
Deep experience with Klaviyo (or Omnisend, Postscript, Attentive)
Strong copywriting instincts — you understand direct response, storytelling, and what makes people click and buy
You know what great
Data-driven — you track your KPIs religiously and optimise based on performance, not gut feel
Self-starter who ships fast in a remote, async environment without needing to be managed
Bonus
Experience building quiz funnels or interactive lead magnets
SMS marketing experience (Postscript, Attentive, Klaviyo SMS)
Managed retention for brands doing $1M+/year
Worked in sports, outdoor, home, or pest control DTC brands

$2,000–$4,000/month depending on experience and location
