AI STATIC & MOTION DESIGNER — HEALTH & WELLNESS APP SUITE
We're hiring an AI-savvy visual designer to produce high-volume, hyper-realistic ad creative for a growing suite of health and wellness food apps. If you can make AI-generated images and video that look like they came from a real photoshoot — not a render — this is for you.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll be the primary creative engine behind our Meta ad creative across multiple apps. This is a high-output role: you'll be expected to consistently produce a large volume of scroll-stopping, on-brand statics and short product/recipe videos using AI generation tools, while keeping quality tight and results measurable.
We move fast and we care about craft. We're looking for someone with real agency — who can take a rough brief, run with it, and come back with options that are already brand-ready, not someone who needs every detail specified.
This is a contract-to-hire role. You'll start part-time. If you're successful, this converts to a full-time position (40+ hours/week).
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Produce a high volume of AI-generated static ad creative (product shots, lifestyle imagery, food/recipe visuals) for Meta ads across our app suite
- Generate short AI video content, including satisfying recipe and product videos — ingredients coming together, product reveals, close-up food/product shots
- Use tools like Grok Imagine and Gemini Nano Banana (and stay current on new tools as they emerge) to produce imagery that reads as authentic photography/videography, not AI-generated
- Maintain visual and brand consistency across a fast-moving content calendar
- Iterate quickly based on ad performance data — what's working, what's not, and why
- Continuously push creative quality and volume without sacrificing either
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven ability to produce AI statics that look realistic — this is non-negotiable. Our audience notices and dislikes anything that reads as "AI slop"
- Hands-on experience with AI image/video tools like Grok Imagine and Gemini Nano Banana (and openness to picking up new tools as they emerge)
- Comfort producing high volume without quality drop-off
- Strong eye for food, product, and lifestyle photography aesthetics
- Self-direction — you should be able to take loose creative direction and run
- Bonus: experience with Meta Ads creative testing and understanding what visual patterns drive performance
COMPENSATION
This is an hourly + performance role.
- Base pay: $5–$10/hour, depending on experience level
- Performance bonuses: on top of base, for high-performing ads (based on Meta Ads metrics) and for high production volume
We want this to reward output and results, not just time logged — the bonus structure is where the real upside is for the right person.
HIRING PROCESS
1. Application — respond to this posting with answers to the questions below
2. Trial task — if selected based on your application, you'll be sent a paid/unpaid trial task
3. Interview — if you do well on the trial task, you'll interview directly with the founder
4. Hire — offer extended from there, starting part-time with a path to full-time
HOW TO APPLY
This posting will get a lot of applicants, so we're using the application itself as a first filter. Please answer the following in your application. Short, direct answers are fine — we care more about substance than polish here.
1. Why are you passionate about health and wellness?
2. How have you personally committed to health and wellness in your own life?
3. What accomplishments are you proud of — creative, professional, or personal?
4. How much experience do you have with graphic design and/or AI-generated design specifically?
5. What AI tools do you currently have access to (paid subscriptions, free tiers, etc.)?
6. What's your experience with each of the following: Grok Imagine, Gemini Nano Banana, and any other AI image/video tools you use? Be specific about what you've made with each.
7. Roughly how much output have you produced with these specific tools (volume, timeframe, context)?
8. What do you think is your single greatest strength for this role? Are you fastest at high-quality output? Most creative/out-of-the-box? Most consistent at hitting photorealism? Tell us what makes you the right fit, specifically.
9. Tell us about your current work setup: Do you have any clients you're currently working for? Do you have capacity to ramp to full-time if this goes well? Is your setup comfortable for working remotely? What's your Wi-Fi speed? Do you have a workspace you can use daily for a full-time workload?
10. Please link a portfolio or samples of past work (AI-generated or otherwise).
One more thing: to confirm you've read this entire posting, end your application with the word "homemade" as the very last word of your submission.
