You'd be the first technical leader on our Philippines team. You'll help shape the architecture, set the engineering standards, and hire and lead the AI consultants who join after you. You'll work directly with our founder, and your decisions will matter from week one.
About The Alora Group
We're an AI implementation firm based in Jacksonville, Florida. We build AI systems for businesses that run on trucks, docks, job sites, and factory floors, including 3PLs, freight operators, manufacturers, and engineering firms. We have active client builds right now, and our founder has spent years delivering AI for enterprise companies before starting Alora.
We're also a faith-driven company. Part of our revenue goes to helping young people affected by fatherlessness and the juvenile justice system build real careers.
How We Think About AI and Engineering
We use AI to write code every day, and we expect you to as well. We don't believe AI replaces engineers. We believe it lets good engineers move much faster, as long as the foundations are taken seriously. Generated code still has to be debugged, refactored, scaled, and maintained by someone who understands it. That person is you.
The Problems You'll Solve
Our clients' data lives in legacy warehouse, transportation, and dispatch systems that were never built to talk to AI. The people using our tools are dock workers, drivers, and field inspectors who will never learn new software, so the systems have to work over
Current work includes an AI agent that reads broker
What You'll Own
Designing system architecture and long-term data models that won't need to be rebuilt in six months.
Building AI agents and automations on the Claude and OpenAI APIs, connected to real client systems.
Making products hold up under real user load and the edge cases that show up after launch.
Debugging, refactoring, and maintaining systems in production, including code that AI helped write.
Turning discovery notes into technical specs, estimates, and build plans.
Hiring, leading, and reviewing the work of our AI consultant team as it grows.
What You Bring
At least 2 years leading developers or technical teams.
Strong Python and/or TypeScript.
Production experience with the Claude API and/or OpenAI API, including tool use, structured outputs, and RAG.
A track record of designing databases and data models that lasted. We work in Postgres and Supabase.
Experience integrating third-party APIs, webhooks, and auth.
Experience scaling a product past its first version, including performance, failure handling, and monitoring.
Clear written and spoken English. You'll explain technical tradeoffs to US business owners.
Nice to have: agent frameworks, MCP, Claude Code, n8n, and any background in logistics, manufacturing, or field-service software.
